Here we are at the end of another year.
December is a time of reflection on the
successes and challenges of the past twelve
months, and on our hopes for the year to
come. Everyone makes New Year’s resolutions,
but we don’t actually know what the ensuing
months will have in store for us. What we
do know is what we’ve achieved. Did you
accomplish ALL your New Year’s resolutions
from last year, or previous years? Most of us
never do.
We tend to make New Year’s resolutions
because there’s something missing, and we
need to set that goal to attain it. As the months
roll on, you may find your drive waning, and
many of us will quickly revert back to old habits. “I’ve still got the rest of the year,” we
tell ourselves.
It’s promising to have big aspirations, but
allow yourself to set shorter, more attainable
goals in between. Set goals each month, and
be realistic. What do you want to accomplish
in that month? How will you actually achieve
it? ...(continued inside).
