Overview
This course will help you improve your construction management career prospects. City of Bristol College is an approved Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) centre, which means you will finish this course with an internationally-recognised qualification.
What you will learn
This course covers topics including project planning, organising and resourcing projects, project monitoring and control, managing sub-contractors and health and safety. For those who have already completed the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), and have current certification, we can apply to the CIOB for exemption of the Health and Safety unit. Other certificated qualification exemptions may apply, which will be considered after mapping the qualification specification against the particular Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) unit.
How you will be assessed
Course assessment is based on individual work, group work, and practical assignments.
Where it can take you
After completing this course, students may be able to progress to the CIOB diploma, an HNC or a foundation degree. You will also be suitably qualified to pursue employment in site management.
