FULL MOON HIKE (407001)
Hike under the light of a full moon and learn about nighttime wildlife activity. Bring water, flashlight, and wear closed-toed shoes. Advance registration required and opens two weeks prior.
SKYLINE BIRDS OF PREY (407010)
Celebrate National Raptor Month and learn about incredible birds of prey during a one-hour presentation. Program includes interactions with owls, hawks, and falcons and an owl pellet identification activity station. Bring water and chair and wear sun protection.

24-HOUR DESERT SURVIVAL (407003)
Learn basic 24-hour emergency desert survival skills including what to pack in a survival kit, building a fire and shelter, and signaling for help. Program is structured for youth and adults. Bring water, sun protection, and chair.
DUTCH OVEN COOKING (407013)
Explore the craft of Dutch oven cooking. You will prepare a loaf of bread from scratch and partner up to prepare a main dish or dessert. You will leave the class with a full tummy. All supplies provided. Bring water, snacks, chair, sun protection, and wear closedtoed shoes. Registration closes Oct. 13.

KIDS HIKE (407004)
A one-mile guided hiking adventure for youth to connect with the outdoors. We'll play hiking activities and go over basic Sonoran Desert facts. An adult must accompany each child. Bring water, sun protection, and wear closed-toed shoes.
COMPASS/NAVIGATION 101 (407018)
Learn the basic skills necessary to navigate through an orienteering course. Then travel on foot to find many destination markers in the park. To make the clinic fun, a real orienteering map of the park will be used. Advance registration is required for each participant.
VENOMOUS CREATURES OF AZ HIKE (407006)
Learn about venomous creatures of the Sonoran Desert during a one-mile hike. Then switch on ultraviolet black light and to hunt for scorpions. Bring water, UV blacklight and wear sun protection and closed-toed shoes.
NATURE HIKE (407019)
If you enjoy hiking and find yourself asking, What plant is that? then this is the hike for you! This stop and learn presentation will offer interesting facts about plants and their special adaptations to life in the arid Sonoran Desert. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring sun protection and water.
YOGA HIKE (407007)
Each stop will focus on a different main chakra (energy centers in the body) starting at the root and finishing with the crown. No experience necessary. Bring water, sun protection and wear closed-toed shoes. Meet on bridge. Instructor: Julz
STARGAZING (407002)
Learn how to use a sky map, the names and meanings of the stars, see the constellations and listen to stories of the night sky. An opportunity to view the moon, planets, star clusters, nebula, galaxies and more through large telescopes will be available. Bring water, lawn chair, and a flashlight with a red lens option.
