s part of its multiyear emerald ash borer (EAB) management plan, the City continues treating or removing ash trees on public property. Removed trees are being replaced with diverse tree species at one-and-a-half times the rate of removal. The City is also promoting proper management of ash trees on private property. Discounted EAB treatment rates are available to residents through 2022.

Summer Street Maintenance Projects
E
den Prairie’s annual street maintenance program involves overlaying, reclaiming and sealcoating more than 45 miles of City streets each year. The goal is to preserve and protect the pavement to reach a 40- to 50-year life expectancy before a street requires complete reconstruction. Maps and updates about 2022 street maintenance projects are available online.
