Enriching lives in every age and every stage
The Library, Recreation, and Cultural Services department aimed to serve you through thousands of activities in 2014. The majority of these programs were free or at a reduced cost to ensure accessibility for all. Plus, these programs helped make Eugene a desirable place to live and contributed to our local economy. But don’t take our word for it, just ask the people who experienced what we have to offer:
My 15-year-old son was a lifeguard and assistant swim instructor at Amazon Pool. It was a great experience for him to be accountable to a work schedule, responsible for the safety of others, and to earn spending money. - Mark Schoening, parent
I have always been so impressed with the quality of the Library’s programs, and the fact that they are free to families is incredible!
Such an enriching experience! Thanks for opening the doors to those who would not otherwise have the opportunity. It’s a wonderful way to connect the arts to the community.
- Sylvia Lee, Library patron
Travis Dronzek, brought class to youth concert at Hult Center
