Stranger Than Fiction? As regular as clockwork (well, a hand wound clock that sometimes runs fast and sometimes runs slow), Summer is around the bend. Fun For All, however, begins at its customary last week in June. This year’s theme is Stranger Than Fiction and we’ve come up with some great books to help us plan activities each week (week 1-The Little Prince and Week 9-Where the Sidewalk Ends are personal favorites of mine). Washington Park’s new Spray Play feature will be opening this summer and I can’t wait to hear the splitter splasher of little feet. We will be having a grand opening celebration on July 14th to mark the occasion. On a sad note, we have had to say goodbye to Cal Young and Arrowhead Park as Fun For All Sites this summer, but we have been able to add a new component to Fun For All—Pre-School hour. This year, for the first time, we will be providing pre-school specific activities from 10-11 at all Fun For All sites. Grab your imagination and join us in a fantastical romp through our collective consciousness. Remember, in a world filled with a diversity of experiences, life really is Stranger than Fiction.
