From a land of olives and figs , Rahmi Guven came to Golden last August Although Rahmi ' s Ii f e in Turkey was completely different from that in the United States , he quickly adapted himself to our customs .
Rah mi competed against 18 other Turkish students in the American Field Service program in order to come to the United States. Upon his arrival in Golden , he became a member of the Cre,v family
With the help of his " broth er'' , Charley Cre,,,r, Rah mi became "Americanized".
Throughout the year , Rahmi could be seen cheering loudly at a football game , learning how to do the "ski'' at a school dance , or quietly drinking Turkish co ff e e at the Tarots Coffee House.

Graduation is symbolized by a cap , a go,-.rn , and a diploma. The suitcase. to many, is a symbol of going a,-.ray to a ne,-.r beginning.
As the seasons progressed, so did the class of 1966. The seniors came through the autumn months full of ne,.,, routine and ,-.rent on into the monotonous months of \vinter Then spring entered the scene bri nging ,-.rith it acute cases of senioritis and spring fever. Suddenly the Prom ,-.ras a thing of the past. Graduation the final ritual of high school days • ended the year for the class of '66. To most seniors graduation meant a time to look back, to remember , to laugh, and to cry But above all, graduation meant a time to look fon-.rard.
