Silver Creek & Indian Creek Disc Golf Courses The City of Manitowoc has two full-size disc golf courses. One of the top-rated courses in Wisconsin is located at Silver Creek Park, 3001 S. 10th Street, with 27 challenging holes and is the site of the annual Silver Cup Tournament. The course has multiple concrete tee areas at each hole to accommodate all skill levels. The signature “Lighthouse Hole #22” features a basket surrounded by Lake Michigan on three sides and set atop a six-foot lighthouse. Nine additional holes are scheduled to be added in 2016! A donation tube is located near the course for those wishing to contribute to improvements for the course. Abutting the Little Manitowoc River, the course located at Indian Creek Park, 701 Albert Drive, has new concrete tee areas to complete the 18 hole course which uses the terrain and trees on several holes to challenge players. Maps of both courses can be found online at www.manitowoc.org.

Henry Schuette Park Kayak Launch With assistance from the Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed, funding was obtained from the WI DNR to install an ADA accessible canoe and kayak launch at lower Henry Schuette Park to access the Manitowoc River. The launch was installed in 2015.

South 14th Street Community Garden In April of 2015, under direction of Grow It Forward, Inc., a community garden was constructed on just under two acres of a South 14th Street parkland. The organic garden is open to the public and features raised beds for rent, a youth garden, an onsite little library, as well as benches and picnic tables. For more information, see the Grow It Forward website at www.grow-it-forward.org.

Camp Vits Mountain Bike Trail The City’s first public mountain bike trail is located at Camp Vits, 97 S Parkview Rd. The trail consists of a two mile beginner loop with three advanced sections branching off the beginner loop. Parking is not available at Camp Vits or on town roads. Visitors may park on Custer Street or any other street that allows parking. At the trailhead located on Parkview Road, you will find an information kiosk and a bike repair station. The map of the trail, along with park rules, can be found on www.manitowoc.org.

One time volunteer projects are also available. More information can be found online at www.manitowoc.org or by calling (920) 686-3580. Manitou Park
