Three brothers, one death, a fenceline stretching to the horizon. Two brothers meet at the border of their vast cattle properties under the unrelenting sun of outback Queensland. They are at the stockman’s grave, a landmark so old, no one can remember who is buried there. But today, the scant shadow it casts was the last hope for their middle brother, Cameron. The Bright family’s quiet existence is thrown into grief and anguish. Something had been troubling Cam. Did he lose hope and walk to his death? Because if he didn’t, the isolation of the outback leaves few suspects…For readers who loved The Dry and Force of Nature, Jane Harper has once again created a powerful story of suspense, set against a dazzling landscape.

Charming and memorable, The Right Place is an Australian novel, combining warm romance with family drama and the longing to fit in. When Nella comes across her nonna's cookbook, the garden starts to get under her skin and she starts to wonder if the right place for her has been here all this time. Woven with traditional Italian recipes and based on the author's own memories of the market garden on Marion Rd where her father grew up, The Right Place is a truly heartfelt story. How does a religious cult seize control of a German city and convert thousands of people to polygamy? In New Jerusalem Paul Ham explores the persuasive power of a few self-appointed prophets at a time of great upheaval. On the five hundredth anniversary of the Reformation, with the world scarred again by the return of religious wars, New Jerusalem shows many parallels between then and now. Who is to say that that your god is not the true god? Where does secular rule end and theocracy begin? The questions raised by Paul Ham in New Jerusalem go to the heart of the meaning of faith. Paul Ham is a historian and author of several non-fiction books, including Passchendaele: Requiem for Doomed Youth and the critically acclaimed Young Hitler: The Making of the Fuhrer.
