What makes a story work and how do you turn an image, idea or anecdote into a fully functioning story? Library Through the Lens: John Byron 'The Tribute'

In this online live webinar, Jaclyn shares her knowledge about soil improvement, composting, worm farms, and fertilisers you can make at home. She also will explain how to save seeds from your own vegetable plants to use next season, germinate seeds, plant seedlings and protect them until they are laden with produce as well as sharing some info on keeping chickens, maintaining gardening tools and preserving what you grow.

Meticulously researched, hugely ambitious and superbly crafted, The Tribute is the most original thriller of 2021 and heralds John Byron as a formidable new player in Australian crime writing. Join John Byron live online via webinar as he talks about his book that follows a serial killer who is stalking through Sydney, hellbent on recreating scenes from the Fabrica, the 16th-century foundation text of modern anatomy. Dark and unpredictable, chilling but sympathetic, The Tribute weaves a tapestry of narrative threads towards a mesmerising climax that will challenge the way you think about everyone you meet.

This talk is suitable for complete beginners as well as seasoned green thumbs. Join us online and learn how to garden like a nonno! Friday 15 October, 12.30pm–1.30pm Online Webinar FREE! Bookings essential BOOK ONLINE marion.sa.gov.au/lttl

Together they will read stories, battle bed bugs, make fairy bread (with real fairies) and finally confront the monster in the closet!

Adelaide home grown personality and 19 times gold Logie winner, Anne Wills, will allow audiences to step inside her living room, where she will talk to Peter Goers about her life on and off the screen, including her many husbands. She has no secrets. Radio personality Peter Goers returns with his amusing dry sense of humour with many more stories to tell as well. With these two together who knows what will happen!

Prepare for a Hot August Night in Motown, with Diamond Wonders, a musical tribute to Neil Diamond and Stevie Wonder, performed by The Fab Two, featuring Troy Harrison and Ravie Varmaan.
