10:00-11:00am #49440 Aquasquirts: This play-based, water-orientation program helps young swimmers become comfortable with shallow and deep-water positions. It involves fun in the water: jumping, rolling, spinning, twisting and turning upside down.
Springboard Diving Level 3&4 (Intermediate/Advanced) Levels 3 & 4 are combined levels, and offer the next steps of advanced dives and skills. Recreational: This non-competitive program focuses on fitness, advancement of figures skills and routine development for the water shows mid-season and year-end. Adult: This non-competitive program for swimmers 18+ focuses on fitness, advancement of figures skills and routine development for the Watershows mid-season and year-end. Competitive: This training program focuses on endurance, routine development, choreography, flexibility and advancement of figures skills with the objective of performing routines at competitions. This program runs from Sept to early June. Athletes train 7.5 to 15.5 hours per week and will compete in a minimum of 4 meets in the season. The Wildrose Program is for athletes looking to achieve their personal best. The NAG (National) Stream is for athletes pursuing excellence in the sport We are able to offer • friendships – in an atmosphere where support and mentorship are fostered • travel – in a fun and safe environment while having the opportunity to perform • fitness – where all of your athletic goals for strength and grace can be met Athletes swim within their age group, as determined by their age as at Dec 31 in the competitive year. Red Cross PeopleSavers Youth First Aid Course PeopleSavers is a 4-level program developed by the Canadian Red Cross to teach safety awareness and first aid skills to elementary school-aged children. Established in 1952, the Catalina Swim Club is one of Alberta’s oldest amateur swimming clubs. Catalina’s long held traditions of Canadian, club and personal excellence are nurtured within a progressive teaching and development environment. Nationally and provincially certified coaches guide aspiring swimmers as they develop sport and life skills, build selfesteem, assertiveness, confidence, and physical fitness in a fun environment. After a playful trial, the Jailbird is found guilty and bail is set. The Jailbird is confined to the “jail” to raise as much bail money as possible by calling family, friends, co-workers and businesses for tax-deductible donations.
