BALL Tiny Tyke T-ball “Everybody gets to play – everybody has fun”! T-Ball is the perfect sport for getting kids started in the game of baseball and softball. Learning to run, catch and throw is critical by this age. This program helps develop ball skills without exerting too much pressure on young players, keeping the game safe, and allowing them to have lots of fun. One of the best things about this game is that it is relatively easy to teach kids so they can play in no time even with little experience! Using parents as leaders, our program will incorporate “FUNdamentals” from Canada’s “Sport for Life” program to enhance your child’s physical activity experience. This program is a forerunner to Red Deer Minor Baseball and Softball programs and uses game and skill fundamentals from Baseball Canada’s and Softball Canada’s developmental programs. The program is offered on Tuesdays or Saturdays. Volunteer “Team-Leader” positions are required in order for the league to run. Each team will need a Leader and Assistant Leader. Leaders will be required to submit a Criminal Records Check (CRC). An equipment bag (no gloves) and Leaders’ Manual is provided to each team. As well, all players will receive a league t-shirt. Players must be age four by Dec 31. 4-5 yrs $60.00 11:00am-12:00pm #60575

Volunteer “Team Leader” positions are required in order for the league to run. Volunteer positions include: Leader and Assistant Leader. Leaders will be required to submit a Criminal Records Check (CRC). A Leaders’ Manual is provided with weekly activity lesson plans. Players must be age eight Dec 31. Leader Pitch The key elements of this co-ed program are participation through equal play, lots of fun and continual skill development. Leader Pitch is an advanced form of T-Ball, played to basically the same rules, with one exception; the tee is replaced by a Pitching Coach who throws the ball from about 8-10 meters. This game will be a natural transition from T-Ball to Minor Baseball or Softball. Using parents, our program will incorporate “FUNdamentals” from the Canadian “Sport for Life” program to enhance your child’s physical activity experience. This program builds to prepare children for Red Deer Minor Baseball’s Little League program and uses game and skill fundamentals from Baseball Canada’s “Rally Cap” program. Each player will be pitched to underhand by a Leader/ Assistant Leader. Volunteer “Team Leader” positions are required in order for the league to run. Volunteer positions include: Leader and Assistant Leader. Leaders will be required to submit a Criminal Records Check (CRC). A Leaders’ Manual is provided with weekly activity lesson plans. As well, all players will receive a league t-shirt. Players must be age six by Dec 31.
