Produced by the City’s Water Division, the publication provides information about Westerville’s drinking water including how it is treated and how it compares to quality standards set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The report contains important information from the 2020 service year.

1. Collect water at the Westerville Water Plant (312 W. Main St.) 2. Clarify water with ferric chloride 3. Soften water to remove calcium and magnesium. Add carbon dioxide to ensure pH is just right 4. Filter water through rapid sand filters and granular activated carbon (GAC) filters 5. Add chlorine to disinfect 6. Add phosphate for corrosion control and fluoride for the prevention of tooth decay 7. Store and deliver to residents
