Increased Efficiency and Lower Costs The Westerville Electric Division offers incentives to help local commercial and industrial businesses implement green solutions that reduce energy consumption within their facilities. Since 2012, BusinessWISE (Westerville Incentive Savings for Efficiency) has offered large and small commercial and industrial electric customers incentives to help make these initiatives easier to implement. Incentives include: HVAC Projects Lighting Upgrades Equipment Controls
Custom Efficiency Projects New Construction
Any permanent electric efficiency improvement can apply for up to 50% of a project’s cost. As of the end of 2022, Westerville had awarded 111 projects with energy savings of more than 20.8 million kWh/ year and a demand reduction of 2,800 kW/month. The program provided an additional 31 applicants with recommendations for future energy efficiency upgrades. Additional sustainable upgrades could be available.
