SUR TROIS CONTINENTS !
Les Crankworx s’internationalisent et sont désormais présents sur 3 continents. En Amérique du Nord, c’est à Whistler, où ils ont été créés, que ce show attire chaque année plusieurs milliers de spectateurs. Une première édition, très prometteuse a eu lieu cette année, à Rotorua, en Nouvelle Zélande, du 25 au 29 mars. En Europe, c’est bien sûr Les 2 Alpes qui accueillent cette année ce show attendu par tous les passionnés. Ce spectacle, qui devient mondial, bénéficie de fortes retombées sur le web grâce aux réseaux sociaux et à la présence de Redbull TV. Notre station, qui a toujours été leader du vtt de descente, continue d’être l’incontournable destination de tous les amoureux du MTB. Bon ride et bonne saison d’été.
ON THREE CONTINENTS!
Crankworx become international and are from now on present on three continents. In North America, it’s at Whistler, where it was created, that this show attracts every year several thousand spectators. The inaugural Crankworx Rotorua was amazing when it took place in March this year, from the 25th to th 29th. In Europe, Les 2 Alpes has the pleasure of welcoming Crankworx back again this year from gravity mountain biking fans to enjoy. This show which becomes worldwide, benefits from strong impact on the web through the social networks and with the presence of Redbull TV. Our resort has always been the leader of downhill mountain biking, continues to be the major destination for all lovers of MTB. Good ride and good summer season.

Les Crankworx ont pris de l’ampleur et la 3ème date en Nouvelle Zélande donne à cet évènement une dimension encore plus grande. Les meilleurs pilotes du moment seront présents et le spectacle qu’ils nous offriront sera digne de la dimension que nous souhaitons donner aux Crankworx Les 2 Alpes. Toute la station s’est mobilisée pour les accueillir et faire de ce mois de juillet 2015, le rendez-vous incontournable du Mountain Bike Gravity des Alpes françaises. La volonté évidente du comité directeur de l’Office qui a voté à la majorité la continuité de l’évènement prouve l’intérêt de la station au développement du VTT Alpin aux 2 Alpes. BIENVENUE À CRANKWORX LES 2 ALPES, 2e ÉTAPE DU CRANKWORX WORLD TOUR ! Nous sommes très enthousiastes d’être de retour pour une 4ème année, et d’apporter des nouveautés au monde du VTT Gravity avec une tournée mondiale composée de 3 étapes, avec quatre nouvelles séries d’épreuves, un nouveau titre pour l’épreuve de Slopestyle le « Triple Crown of Slopestyle » mais aussi un titre global qui désignera le Roi et la Reine du Crankworx World Tour. Les 2 Alpes est un rendez-vous clé. Le gagnant du Slopestyle Crankworx Les 2 Alpes déterminera si le Triple Crown pourra être remporté lors de cette première année. Un homme devra gagner les 3 épreuves de Slopestyle de la tournée pour espérer être couronné, la victoire à Rotorua a fait de Brett Rheeder l’unique prétendant au titre pour 2015. Si l’or lui échappe, notre volonté de récompenser le vainqueur de cette prestigieuse épreuve devra attendre encore une année. Les points gagnés par les athlètes lors des différentes épreuves aux 2 Alpes seront décisifs pour la saison du World Tour. Leurs résultats seront associés à ceux de Crankworx Rotorua, la première étape de la tournée qui a eu lieu en mars dernier en Nouvelle Zélande. Ces résultats définiront un classement final lors de l’étape ultime qui aura lieu le mois suivant à Whistler. Ça va être un beau festival, avec plein d’actions et l’opportunité de voir les tops riders mondiaux. Nous ferons de notre mieux pour partager les histoires de nos athlètes et célébrer leurs exploits à la sauce Crankworx. Merci d’être parmi nous, pour cette nouvelle édition.

Crankworx is expanding! Crankworx Les 2 Alpes is now thrilled to announce it is a part of Crankworx world Tour. The best riders of the world will be present and the show that they will offer us will deserve the dimension that we wish to give to Crankworx 2 Alpes. The whole resort mobilized to welcome them and make of this July 2015 an inescapable meeting of Mountain Bike Gravity of the French Alpes. The obvious will of the executive committee of the Office which voted with the majority for the continuity of the event proves the interest of the resort to the development of the Alpine mountain Bike in Les 2 Alpes. Thanks to all those who helped us or who are going to help in the future. See you soon.
WELCOME TO CRANKWORX LES 2 ALPES, THE SECOND STOP ON THE CRANKWORX WORLD TOUR.
We are extremely excited to be back for a fourth year, and to introduce new elements to gravity mountain biking with the three-stop world tour, four new series events, a new Triple Crown of Slopestyle title and overall race to name the King and Queen of the Crankworx World Tour. Les 2 Alpes is a pivotal event. The winner of the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle will determine whether the Triple Crown can be awarded in its first year. One man must win all three Slopestyle events on the tour for the Crown, making Rotorua victor Brett Rheeder the only contender for 2015. Should the gold elude him, our hopes of awarding this prestigious new honour will have to wait in the wings for another year. The points athletes earn for competing in every Les 2 Alpes competition are critical to the World Tour season. Their results will combine with those earned at the inaugural Crankworx Rotorua competitions, held in New Zealand in March, to set final standings heading into our grand finale in Whistler next month. It’s going to be a great festival with plenty of action and opportunities to see top mountain bike further the sport. We’ll do our best to share the stories and celebrate their accomplishments of our athletes in true Crankworx fashion. Thank you for joining us for another year.

Developed by Sven Martin, a mountain bike photographer who knows his whips, the European Whip Off Championship gives riders a chance to wow the crowd and earn the respect of their peers, as they fight for the title of European Whip Off Champ.

D.S&S Plus de vitesse, plus de tricks, plus de sensations. Un parcours aérien et novateur au cœur du bike park attendra les compétiteurs du D.S&S. Une lutte sans merci opposera les riders à chaque virage. Là où la vitesse est reine, les riders pourront également grappiller quelques précieuses secondes grâce à des bonus temps qui seront attribués en fonction des tricks effectués sur le parcours.
Programme
Double the speed, double the tricks, double the stoke. An innovative aerial course in the heart of the bike park awaits competitors in the D.S&S event. Riders compete in a dog-eat-dog matchup, working to outstyle each other at every turn. While speed is king, riders can also have a time bonus (in seconds) based on the tricks they throw down over the two jumps.

THE CRANKWORX LES 2 ALPES DH PRESENTED BY IXS EUROPEAN DOWNHILL CUP Les meilleurs descendeurs au monde et les amateurs aux nerfs d’acier se réuniront pour mettre à dure épreuve leur courage sur cette manche de l’IXS European Downhill Cup aux 2 Alpes. Ce tracé très technique offrira aux riders novices l’opportunité rare de courir avec des pros comme : Mick & Tracey Hannah, Danny Hart, Andrew Neethling, Marcello Gutierrez, Marc Beaumont, Tayler Vernon, Rachel & Gee Atherton, Brendan Fairclough et Nick Beer mais aussi des petits frenchies bien de chez nous comme Aurélien Giordanengo, Fabien Cousinié, Thibaut Ruffin ou encore Myriam Nicole pour ne citer qu’eux. The world’s best downhill mountain bikers, and eager amateurs with nerves of steel, will get to test their mettle when the IXS European Downhill Cup rolls into Les 2 Alpes this July. This always challenging course makes up the only French portion of Europe’s premier race series, and offers a rare opportunity for novice riders to compete against the pros. It’s hoped some changes to this year’s course will make things more accessible for spectators, bringing them up closer and deeper into the action for this epic event, which during 2012 and 2013 saw many of the best riders in the sport face off, including: Mick & Tracey Hannah from Team Hutchinson United, Danny Hart, Andrew Neethling, Marcello Gutierrez representing Team Giant, Marc Beaumont, Tayler Vernon, Rachel & Gee Atherton for Team GT, as well as Brendan Fairclough and Nick Beer, plus local frenchies Aurélien Giordanengo, Fabien Cousinié, Thibaut Ruffin and Myriam Nicole, to name only a few. This year the world’s top downhill riders will be ready to rip once again, making this race a unique oncein-a-lifetime opportunity for many to face off with the best of the best.

LES 2 ALPES PUMP TRACK PRESENTED BY ROCK SHOX Cette épreuve en tête-à-tête permettra aux riders de s’affronter un par un sur un format de course inspiré du BMX. Le terrain de jeu : une piste faite à la main constituée de jumps et de whoops qui challengera le plus aguerri des racers et le plus inspiré des freestylers.

Le succès de l’événement en 2012 et 2013 a élevé l’épreuve au statut de DIAMOND EVENT en 2014 et cette année il deviendra la référence du milieu de saison dans la course au titre du TRIPLE CROWN OF SLOPESTYLE. L’athlète qui gagnera l’épreuve de Slopestyle à Rotorua répètera-t-il l’exploit en France ? Le tracé est reconnu sur l’ensemble du circuit pour sa beauté et son intensité. Epreuve sur invitation uniquement. Sans conteste le point d’orgue du festival.

Chrills, thrills and spills – the climax of Crankworx Les 2 Alpes, the Slopestyle, has got’em all. The success of this event in 2012 and 2013 has elevated the event to Diamond status for 2014, and this year it becomes the critical mid-season determiner for the TRIPLE CROWN OF SLOPESTYLE. Should the athlete who won the Slopestyle course in Rotorua repeat in France, there is just one competition to go to secure the crown. This course is notorious on the global circuit for its beauty and intensity. An invitation-only event, it is sure to be the highlight of the festival for many.

FESTIVAL DU FILM « LIGHT ON MTB » FILM FESTIVAL « LIGHT ON MTB » « Light on MTB » est un festival international de films de VTT. Inclus dans l’événement Crankworx de la station des 2 Alpes, il a pour but de promouvoir les productions visuelles des passionnés de VTT. Mariant art et sport, mixant audacieusement techniques audiovisuelles et performances sportives, « Light on MTB » présente des productions amatrices et professionnelles. L’idée est de présenter à un large public, néophyte ou connaisseur, la beauté du geste sportif captée par l’œil de la caméra. “Light on MTB” is an international mountain bike film festival. Included in the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Festival, it aims at promoting the media productions of MTB enthusiasts. Combining art and sport, mixing bravely broadcasting technologies and sportive performances, “Light on MTB” presents the numerous amateur productions and professional. The idea is to present to a large public, neophyte or expert, the beauty of the sports gesture captured by the eye of the camera.

anthonY meSSere - Slopestyle Anthony Messere, 19 ans est originaire de Surrey, une petite ville près de Vancouver au Canada. Il a grandi en ridant et en apprenant le métier sur un BMX, à deux pas de la maison mère de Crankworx World Tour – Whistler, B.C. Il est le champion en titre du Slopestyle de Crankworx Les 2 Alpes, mais également 3ème au Red Bull Joyride de Whistler en août dernier. Messere a été projeté sur la scène Slopestyle en 2011 lorsqu’il a réussi à atteindre la 3ème place du podium. Sa victoire aux 2 Alpes a été son premier résultat majeur en Slopestyle, et il a bien l’intention de continuer, en complétant son palmarès. Originally from Surrey, a small municipality near Vancouver, Canada, 19-year-old Anthony Messere grew up riding, racing and learning his trade on a BMX bike, a stone’s throw from the home base of the Crankworx World Tour—Whistler, B.C. He is the reigning Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle Champion and placed third at Red Bull Joyride in Whistler last August. Messere splashed onto the Slopestyle scene when he squeaked into the same competition in 2011 and landed in third place on the podium. Cam Zink - Slopestyle, DSS Les fans de Crankworx se souviennent de cette légende du VTT gravity pour sa victoire à couper le souffle contre son ami et néanmoins rival Greg Watts. Les deux américains ont pris la tête du podium du GT Dual Speed & Style le jour de la Fête de l’Indépendance des Etats Unis en juillet dernier. Zink est aux Crankworx ce que la confiture est à la tartine. Depuis son enfance, il participe aux compétitions organisées sur Whistler. Il ne se passe pas un Crankworx, sans sa présence. Il a enflammé la scène en gagnant l’épreuve du Slopestyle en 2006, en réalisant un blackflip X-up one footer. Il est à présent un des leaders incontournables de la scène freestyle mondiale du VTT gravity. Crankworx fans will remember this gravity mountain bike legend for his heart-stopping win against friend and rival Greg Watts. The two Americans topped the GT Dual Speed & Style podium on American Independence Day last July. Zink is to Crankworx what peanut butter is to bread. Having grown up competing in the Whistler competitions, a Crankworx event rarely passes without his presence. He burst onto the scene to win the Slopestyle event in 2006 with a backflip X-up one footer and is now a leader among freestyle gravity riders in every sense of the word.

Gee Atherton
Descente / Downhill Agé de 30 ans, le cadet de la famille Atherton, Gee marque les esprits sur les courses depuis une dizaine d’années. Après avoir gagné la Polygon Air DH aux 2 Alpes en 2013, terminé 2ème de la World Cup Series, il remporte la première place du podium français l’année dernière. En 2015, il vise un 4ème podium. The middle of the three Atherton siblings, 30-year-old Gee has been turning heads on race circuits for over a decade. After winning the Polygon Air DH in Les 2 Alpes in 2013, and placing second in the 2013 World Cup Series, he managed to steal the French podium once more last year and will be looking for an unprecedented fourth consecutive win when he arrives for this year’s races.
Rachel Atherton Descente / Downhill
Sœur de Gee et Dan Atherton, elle est nommée la « Sportive » de l’année par le journal anglais The Sunday Times. On ne présente plus Rachel, après avoir dominé la Coupe du Monde en 2008, elle remporte le classement général de la World Cup et la médaille d’or aux championnats du monde. En 2009, elle est renversée par un pickup. Très sérieusement blessée, sa carrière est menacée. Après 3 années de galère, Rachel revient au plus haut niveau et remporte en 2012 la Coupe du Monde. Elle est médaillée d’or à la DH de Crankworx Rotorua, et partage actuellement la 2nde place de « Queen of Crankworx » avec la Canadienne Casey Brown et la française Anne Caroline Chausson. Sister to Gee and Dan Atherton, and named Sportswoman of the Year by the U.K.’s The Sunday Times, this Atherton needs no introduction. After dominating the World Cup scene in 2008, winning the World Cup overall and taking the World Championship gold, Rachel Atherton was hit by a pickup truck in 2009 and suffered serious enough injuries to jeopardize her career. It took three years to fight her way back to peak performance and secure the 2012 World Cup win. Now securely back on top, she took the gold in the Crankworx Rotorua Downhill presented by iXS and currently shares second place in the Queen of the Crankworx World Tour rankings with Canadian Casey Brown and Frenchwoman Anne Caroline Chausson.

Pump track et descente / Pump track and downhill A la tête du classement “Queen of Crankworx”, Beerten remporte le Pump Track de Rotorua devant Jill Kintner et obtient une belle 4ème place au Giant Toa Enduro. Beerten a commencé le BMX à 4 ans, a remporté 6 fois les championnats nationaux et 2 fois les championnats du monde. Elle consacre maintenant sa carrière aux Enduro World Series. Leading the Queen of the Crankworx World World Tour rankings, Beerten’s win over Pump Track dominator Jill Kintner in the Crankworx Rotorua Pump Track, and respectable fourth place finish in the Giant Toa Enduro, have this racer from the Netherlands well positioned heading into France. A lifelong competitor, Beerten started riding BMX at four years old, eventually earning six BMX national championship titles and being named World Champion twice. Her racing focus is now squarely concentrated on the Enduro World Series.

Slopestyle, dSS & Pump track Thomas Lemoine a fait ses armes en BMX, et il vient d’intégrer cette année le team freeride Canyon Factory. Tout juste âgé de 18 ans, originaire de Marseille, il a assuré le spectacle en remportant la 3ème place à Rotorua du Pump Track presented by Rock Shox, et la 4ème place au Mons Royale Dual Speed & style. 6ème du Redbull Joyride l’année dernière, 5ème du Slopestyle aux 2 Alpes, Lemoine est LE jeune à suivre. Thomas Lemoine cut his teeth on the BMX scene and joined the Canyon Factory Freeride Team this year. Just 18 years old, and coming out of the thriving Marseille riding scene, he turned in an impressive showing in Rotorua with a third place in the Crankworx Rotorua Pump Track presented by RockShox and a fourth in the Mons Royale Dual Speed and Style. antoine BiZet - Slopestyle Le premier à passer un double backflip avec un VTT de descente, Bizet, l’athlète Kona est surnommé « le français fou et sauvage » ! Cette année, il obtient une douzième place au slopestyle de Crankworx Rotorua en mars, ainsi qu’à l’Air King de Vienne en avril. Obtenant ses meilleurs résultats en 2014 au FISE World d’Andorre, Hall of Dirt en Allemagne et au White Style en Autriche, il devient un des meilleurs riders du VTT gravity Européen en remportant une très belle 7ème place au Slopestyle de Crankworx Les 2 Alpes l’an dernier. The first to land a double backflip on a downhill bike, Bizet’s Kona athlete profile dubs him “the wild and crazy Frenchman” and, on that note, he’s launched a solid year thus far, taking twelfth at both the Crankworx Rotorua Slopestyle, in March, and Vienna Air King, in April. Turning in his best results for 2014 at the Fise World Andorra, Hall of Dirt, in Germany, and White Style, in Austria, he is a dominant force on the European gravity scene and earned himself a respectable seventh place finish at the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle last year.

A son deuxième passage, il replaque un magnifique Cannonball tuck no-hand avant de s’envoler vers l’aire d’arrivée avec un backflip tailwhip. 5ème au RedBull Joyride de Whistler l’an dernier, Reboul a prouvé qu’il fallait compter sur lui à présent. Landing himself in the top ten, despite a hard wipeout on a first run backflip, 21-year-old Reboul showed some serious mettle at Crankworx Rotorua, nailing a cannonball tuck no-hander combo he missed on his first run on his second time down the course. Dancing into the finish corral with a backflip tailwhip, he gave a quick fist pump for the crowd, brows still furrowed—all business. Guillaume Cauvin Descente / Downhill
Après avoir remporté la première place à l’Avalanche Cup de Lyon en 2012 et 2013, à tout juste 20 ans, la nouvelle recrue du team Giant Factory Off-Road, est considéré comme l’étoile montante en Coupe du Monde DH UCI. Originaire de Cannes, Cauvin, placé dans le top 20 en Afrique du Sud, en Autriche et en France, remporte les Enduro World Series l’année dernière et confirme sa performance avec une 2ème place à la Coupe d’Europe Polygon Air DH aux 2 Alpes. After taking first place at Avalanche Cup Lyon in 2012 and 2013, this newly appointed Giant Factory Off-Road Team rider is considered a consistent performer in the UCI Downhill World Cup scene, though he is only 20 years old. Hailing from Cannes, Cauvin posted top-20 finishes in South Africa, Austria and France and stage wins in the Enduro World Series last year, and he nailed his performance at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes with a second place in the Polygon Air DH European Cup.

Pump Track et DSS Loron est en course pour l’or après avoir pris la 2ème place derrière Martin Soderstrom au Mons Royal Dual Speed & Style de Rotorua. Une défaite ? Pas vraiment, selon Loron, qui était beaucoup plus excité d’avoir battu en ¼ de finale le californien Ryan “R-Dog” Howard. Vainqueur du Pump Track Challenge aux 2 Alpes et à Whistler en 2013, Loron est un rider rapide et stylé. Il prouvera une fois de plus en 2015, qu’il est capable de grosses performances. Not really, according to Loron, who was more excited to have beat Californian Ryan “RDog” Howard in the quarter finals to find himself in the neckand-neck chase. The winner of the Pump Track Challenges in Les 2 Alpes and Whistler in 2013, Loron is one fast, stylish rider and is proving as much once more on the 2015 race scene, turning in another stellar performance in the quarter final heat of the Rotorua Pump Track Challenge presented by RockShox.

anne Caroline ChauSSon - Pump track Chausson était la femme à battre à Crankworx Rotorua, où elle s’est imposée haut la main au Giant Toa Enduro dans des conditions pourtant difficiles : à travers la boue et les racines glissantes, sur plus de 60km d’une course composée de sept spéciales. Elle partage actuellement la 2ème place de Queen of Crankworx World Tour avec Rachel Atherton et Casey Brown. Chausson sera l’athlète féminine la plus récompensée présente aux Crankworx Les 2 Alpes : 13 fois championne du monde VTT et 1ère médaillée d’or olympique en BMX (2008). Elle a couru en VTT dans différentes disciplines : DH, enduro, Dual Slalom, 4X... Chausson was the woman to watch at Crankworx Rotorua, where she handily won the Giant Toa Enduro on thick hero dirt, slick roots routinely levelling top riders over the 60 kilometre, seven stage race. Currently sharing second seeding in the Queen of the Crankworx World Tour rankings with Rachel Atherton and Casey Brown, Chausson will be the most decorated female athlete at Crankworx Les Deux Alpes with 13 rainbow jerseys to her name and the first BMX Olympic Gold (2008). She has raced downhill, enduro, dual slalom and four-cross as a mountain bike competitor.

En 2014, Myriam a atteint le très haut niveau en remportant 3 podiums en Coupe du Monde (Cairns, Fort William, Leogang) et le titre de Championne de France. Vainqueur aux Crankworx 2014 de la Polygon Air DH aux 2 Alpes, elle est l’une des principales concurrentes à pouvoir inquiéter l’imbattable Atherton. Sponsorisée par Red Bull, elle s’entraine sans répit pour dominer la descente. Les fans de Pompon ne seront pas déçus et pourront la voir courir sous leurs applaudissements. WORLD TOUR Le tout nouveau Crankworx Wolrd Tour commence à Rotorua, Nouvelle Zélande, fait étape aux 2 Alpes et termine en apothéose “à la maison” à Whistler B.C.
La tournée comprend 4 nouvelles séries d’épreuves : Crankworx DH Championships, Pump Track Challenge Series, Speed & Style World Championships et Crankworx Slopestyle Championships. Pour remporter le titre, les athlètes cumulent des points sur les différentes épreuves de la tournée. La victoire finale est décernée lors de la dernière étape à Whistler. Le vainqueur doit récolter le plus de points dans sa discipline, et idéalement le plus de victoires ; mais il n’est pas nécessaire de remporter toutes les épreuves pour pouvoir prétendre au titre. Cet insaisissable objectif est réservé uniquement aux athlètes du Slopestyle. Le Slopestyle en tant qu’épreuve phare des Crankworx cumule une distinction supplémentaire. Crankworx Slopestyle Championship consacrera l’athlète qui aura cumulé le plus de points après les trois étapes, mais si un rider remporte l’ensemble des étapes slopestyle du Crankworx World Tour, il pourra également prétendre au titre du « Triple Crown ».
The newly created Crankworx World Tour starts in Rotorua, New Zealand, stops in Les 2 Alpes, France and culminates in a raucous showdown in its Canadian home base of Whistler, B.C.
The tour features four new series titles: the Crankworx DH Championships, the Pump Track Challenge Series, the Speed & Style World Championships and the Crankworx Slopestyle Championships. To secure a series title, athletes accumulate points over the course of the tour with the ultimate victor in each discipline named at the final festival in Whistler. A series winner has the most points in a given discipline, and likely the most wins; although it is not necessary to win every competition in a series to secure an overall title. This elusive goal is reserved exclusively for the Slopestyle athletes. As the marquee event of Crankworx, Slopestyle accrues an additional accolade. The Crankworx Slopestyle Championship will be awarded to the athlete with the most points after three events, but if a rider can win all three Crankworx Slopestyle events, he will also have the opportunity to earn the new Triple Crown of Slopestyle.

Alors que Brandon Semenuk a déjà gagné 2 étapes en une seule saison, l’idée d’en gagner 3 en une année et lui permettre d’achever une parfaite année Crankworx avec une victoire à chaque étape du tour n’avait jusque-là jamais été imaginé ! Le Triple Crown réunit 3 des plus grosses épreuves du FMB Diamond Series (Crankworx Rotorua Slopesyle, Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle et Redbull Joyride à Crankworx Whistler), un événement dans l’événement avec à la clé un prize money de 50 000 $. Le Triple Crown défiera les athlètes au-delà du sport, en les incitant à repousser leurs limites et à redoubler de créativité. Pour remporter le Triple Crown, un seul et même rider doit remporter les 3 étapes. Ne laissant aucun doute sur qui est le meilleur slopestyler au monde.

While one athlete, Brandon Semenuk, has won two Crankworx Slopestyle events in a single season, this opportunity to win three in one year, and achieve a perfect Crankworx year with a win at every stop of the tour, has never been offered. The Triple Crown unites three of the biggest FMB Diamond Series events— the Crankworx Rotorua Slopestyle, Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle, and Redbull Joyride at Crankworx Whistler—creating a series within a series, and giving the world’s best riders a shot at an unheard of $50,000 grand prize. It is hoped the Triple Crown will push the athletes to further the sport, elevate the level of difficulty in their tricks and bring new creativity to the fore. To win the Triple Crown of Slopestyle a single rider will have to win each event, leaving no doubt as to who is the best slopestyle athlete on the planet.
