Pumpkins are carved on-site by teams of two to four people, with at least one adult and one child in each party. All carved pumpkins will then be judged by popular vote at the Fright on Franklin event (Saturday, October 29). Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided.

Aquatics NEW! SWIM ACROSS CLARKSVILLE

Location: New Providence Pool Fee: Free with paid admission Can you swim the same total amount of mileage it would take to drive from city park to park? By logging miles swam over the length of the program, participants can figuratively “Swim Across Clarksville” while getting fit, having fun and scoring some great prizes as well! Open to all ages and swim levels. This program runs from November through April.

Fee: $110, includes four, 45-minute classes One-on-one private swim lessons with an instructor are great for beginners, those who need a little more attention, or who aren’t quite ready for a group class. By appointment only and sessions must be completed within two weeks.

Fee: $15 members, $35 non-members For children and adults with special needs. Program includes an introduction to the water and water adjustment activities. Liberty Park Wetlands Sanctuary

SElf-GUIDED NATURE TOUR We are excited about the opening of our new Quick Response (QR) Code Trail at Liberty Park. Plaques with QR codes have been placed along the loop around the Wetlands. This self-guided, interactive walk features 8 plaques that can be scanned using a smartphone or tablet. Scanning the QR code opens a web page with written text and images that provides visitors with information on plants, animals, habitats, and other natural points of interest. Give it a try today!
