s I write this note for the Winter/Spring edition of the Activity Guide, the leaves are still on the trees and the warm sun is shining in my office window. But perhaps that will give you an idea of how much time and effort the staff expends developing the programs and subsequent Activity Guide they deliver to you, our customers. Speaking of development, we’re very excited about all of the new projects coming your way in 2018 from our Department. Work will be continuing on the Red River East Trail extension off of Kraft Street, Swan Lake pool will be renovated in the fall, and running water restroom facilities will be installed at both Heritage and Lettie Kendall Parks. Perhaps most exciting will be that plans will be in the works for the long awaited Athletic Complex. As Clarksville grows, so does Parks and Recreation in order to make sure that there are recreational opportunities for everyone.
