Dear Residents This year, our annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event has something for everyone. The main event will be taking place in the two main car parks off Bell Street. Lots of local shops will be open in the Town for you to start some early Christmas shopping. Father Christmas has contacted us to let us know that he will be in his grotto from 4.30pm on this special evening. You can find the Grotto in the main car park where the stage and Fun Fair are. There are lots of things to take into account to make the evening safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Here are just a few things to make a note of: Please use the Twitchell (footpath to the Cricket and Bowls Club) that leads from Fair Green to London Road to access the event in addition to Bell Street access points. Please look at our website www.sawbridgeworth-tc.gov.uk for updated information. Entertainment will be on the stage from 4.30pm onwards with our special guest Richie Firth from the Absolute Radio Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show. The Cricket Club is hosting Craft stalls by local business people. Church House is home to Tudor House Gallery who have an Arts & Crafts Fair Showing off all that the shop has to offer all year around. The Memorial Hall in The Forebury has a Food Festival running from 4pm to 9pm ...and of course you can buy burgers and hot dogs, drinks, mulled wine and goodies in the main event area.
We look forward to seeing you.
