This includes, but is not limited to, those relating to specific Olympic Games, the Canadian Olympic Team, Olympic moments and the accomplishments of Olympians. logo development A new logo for a new generation of great spirit and sportmanship is encouraged to keep the proud maple leaf icon of Canada in a trendy approach. So the maple leaf is redrawn in to a “snowflake� of the original leaf.

PRIMARY LOGO Primary logo consists of the “snowflake� and the classic Olympics logo. The logo can be simplified by removing the Olympics logo to be used on applications that requires the logo to be resized below 10cm in width.

RESPONSIVE VARIATIONS

On website the logo is recommended to be responsive by removing the Olympics logo in small screen size. However, it is highly recommended to keep the Olympics logo as much as possible.

RESTRICTIONS No manipulation, distortion, affiliation, or rearrangement attempt of colours, orientation, scaling, element, font are accepted. Below are some examples, but not limited to, of unacceptable forms of the brand. Please follow the standard indicated in the style guide strictly.

SIZES & clear space Above is the minimum amount of clear space that must surround the logo options. No other element should intrude, and the clear space ratio is to always remain as designed. When possible, provide more open space. The maximum and minimum sizes for the logo must be as indicated on this page. This applies to digital as well as print applications.

When combine logo with text, both fonts can be used alternatively. However, Code Bold font must be used for Canadian Olympic Brand and Canada. All sport teams may use Bahnschrift with the logo. Refer to variations and restrictions on the next page for guidelines on how to place text with logo.
