MICHAEL F. PRICE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS Corey Phelps, Ph.D., Dean A curriculum in business was first offered at the University of Oklahoma in 1913 through a subordinate school in the College of Arts and Sciences. Then, in 1917, the School of Public and Private Business became one of the first schools west of the Mississippi to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business—the international accrediting agency for business schools—a distinction it has maintained continuously till now. In 1923, the Board of Regents established a separate School of Business and authorized the Bachelor of Science degree in Business. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree was authorized five years later. In 1929, the school became the College of Business Administration and the degree awarded was changed to the Bachelor of Business Administration. In 1997, the college was named the Michael F. Price College of Business in honor of its benefactor and alumnus, Michael F. Price. Today, the Michael F. Price College of Business has over 5,200 undergraduate, master's and doctoral students pursuing degrees and certificates with over 70 different options. Price College offers
