CMV Music Network asked Samantha Fish how she got her start, and what has motivated her to be one a blues artist. “I was attracted to blues music, first as a guitar player. Every Rock N Roll player I loved was heavily influenced by the blues. I loved the improvisational factor with the solos, the voicing and expressiveness in the bends and vibrato. Then when I discovered north miss/hill country/and the delta style, that was it for me. My hometown of KC only further cemented my interest, there was always some place to go play and cut your teeth.” — Samantha Fish
