Education, May 5th at Buttonwillow Raceway is Open for Registration!

Our first Drivers Education Event for 2023 is now open for registration! May 5th 2023 is the day of the event at Buttonwillow Raceway in Buttonwillow Ca. Only a one and half hour drive from San Luis Obispo, drive over for the day or stay Thursday night in one of the hotels in the area or take advantage of one of the RV spots at the track. Our club will hold a social hour at the track, starting at 5:30, May 4th, then have a dinner at the Raceway Café. You can register early for the DE on Thursday to make Friday morning a little more relaxed.

We will have four run groups, beginner/novice, intermediate, advanced intermediate and expert. We limit the cars to 25 per session to keep the track running smoothly throughout the day with five twenty-minute sessions.

For those of you who would like to try high speed track for the first time, of all of the tracks we run, Buttonwillow is the best to learn on. PCA Certified Instructors are available on a limited basis. Don’t wait too long to register, instructors are on a first come first served basis. PCA does require at least four days highspeed track experience or signed off by an instructor. If you only have a few days experience and need an instructor, please register soon.

The Golden Gate Region will host a two-day event on May 6th and 7th after our event on May 5th. Join the fun for three full days, or if that is too much fun for you, add a day on to our event with GGR.

For drivers who want to experience the track at a slower speed we will have a Parade Lap at noon time for a thirty minute session. Follow an experienced driver around the track at a limited speed.
