2022 PCA Zone 8 Awards Banquet

several books, his most recent effort is The IROC Porsches. Matt’s presentation centered on early coach-built versions of Porsche’s 356, then later models. Apparently, Matt has had access to Porsche’s historical archive, and he had some fascinating photos to share. Quite a few I had never seen before. There were photos of cars from Zagato, Glockler, and Beutler, to name just a few.

Finally, it was on to the awards presentations. Our very own Chuck Jennings won second place in class CC12 for autocross for the 2022 season. Unfortunately, Chuck was not present. He will receive his award later this year. (There was a supply chain issue that prevented the proper awards being handed out for the autocross series.)

The surprise of the evening, was your humble scribe being awarded the Zone 8 2022 Enthusiast of the

Year. I was so stunned, I do not recall which Region was awarded Region of the Year. My apologies.
