Department of Public Safety LMU Public Safety is responsible for security operations, investigations, emergency management and preparedness. Public Safety offers an array of services to support and promote the security and safety of our campus community, including after-hours safety escorts on campus, bike registration and routine campus patrol. Each year, Public Safety facilitates two campus-wide emergency preparedness drills in addition to ongoing training and education.

LMU Alert
LMU Safty App (Rave Guardian)
During a campus or area-wide incident or emergency, the university will send important information and instructions to the LMU community via LMU Alert, the university’s emergency notification system. LMU Alerts may include phone calls, text messages and/or email to registered users. All LMU students automatically receive alerts on their Lion email accounts, and are required to register their personal information in LMU Alert.
Rave Guardian, Public Safety’s mobile app, includes safety tips and maps, important phone numbers, campus resources and an anonymous reporting link. Parents and guardians can also download the app to receive LMU Alerts.
