REGISTRATION

Registration can be completed online, in-person, or over the phone. Service fees apply for online registration and are non-refundable. Non-residents may register for programming and each class will incur a $5 non-resident fee.

Recreation Center Membership

Memberships are available to residents ages 13 and over at no cost. Memberships are required for residents participating in any recreation class, program, activity, or free play. A valid driver’s license is required to verify residency. Residents ages 13-17 must have a parent present to issue a membership. Residents 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18+) with a membership.

Resident membership: No annual fee

Splash Pad Hours

The splash pad at McPherson Park will be open May 3-Oct. 13, Mon.-Sun., 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

Colleyville City Fair

Come one, come all to the Colleyville City Fair! This event brings our community together for a family-focused, fun-filled evening. Carnival rides, games, a pie eating contest, food trucks, stilt walkers, face painters, balloon artists, and much more!

SUMMER CAMPS

Flag Football

This class is a combination of a QB and WR skills clinic and a traditional flag football program. During the four sessions of this program, players practice drills and movements including passing and receiving as well as defensive coverage. Players will learn plays, routes, and become familiar with football formations and basics. We also allow time at each program to scrimmage. All equipment is supplied. Please bring a snack, water, and sunscreen.

Cartoon Creations

Campers learn the art of cartooning, including imagining and sketching characters, preparing animation cels, and discovering the creative process for comic strips and animation. Get ready for a fun time while you draw your characters and create your own stories! A separate $25 supply fee is due to the instructor the day of the class.

Beginner Golf

This golf clinic features a fun curriculum designed just for young players. We set up drills and stations to get maximum time with a club in hand. Chipping and driving range stations work on the fundamentals and basics while our simulated holes replicate situations. We primarily work with irons and strive to build confidence in each child's swing. Bring your clubs or use ours. Gloves are recommended. Please bring a snack, water, sunscreen, and a hat.

SUMMER CAMPS

Volleyball Skills Academy

The Volleyball Skills Academy is a great way to sharpen all volleyball skills in a fun and supportive environment. These sessions will develop passing, serving, attacking, setting, and defense to prepare young volleyball players for the transition to "3-touch" volleyball. Our experienced coaches will teach the game with a goal of developing a mindset for organized volleyball. The staff will consist of local coaches, collegiate players, and feature Gonzaga Volleyball head coach JT Wenger. For students entering 5th and 6th grade.

Volleyball Middle School Prep Camp

The Middle School Prep Camp will prepare athletes for their middle school tryouts and seasons! It is designed with a heavy focus on serving, passing, attacking, digging, and learning the flow & systems of the game at the next level. Our experienced coaches will provide a supportive environment to encourage athletic risk taking and growth. This camp promises to develop individual skills, while also addressing team camaraderie and fun on the court. Our staff will consist of local volleyball coaches, collegiate players, and feature Gonzaga Volleyball head coach JT Wenger. For students entering 7th and 8th grade.

SUMMER CAMPS

Responsive Robotics (AM)

In this challenge-focused program, your student will begin to develop their computational thinking skills by playing with modular, robotic cubes known as Cubelets! Imagine this - every way your student snaps the magnetic cubes together creates a unique robot, but what really matters is how they figure out the perfect robot recipe to solve a challenge. They will work in small teams to figure out how to create energy-efficient lighthouses, racer bots, maze-solvers, goofy animals, and so much more!

Ages: 6-12

Responsive Robotics and Brick City (Full Day)

See the half day camps for specific descriptions. The lunch period will include free play and movement time supervised by a Snapology Teacher. Please bring a packed lunch, snack, and drink.

Brick City (PM)

Does your builder enjoy designing beautiful buildings and cities using LEGO bricks? If so, this program is the perfect space for your young architect or city planner to sharpen their design and building skills! In this camp, students will learn all about the importance of collaboration, careful planning, and skillful execution of their building plans. Not only will we explore simulating the real world, we'll also spend time recreating our favorite Minecraft worlds!

Join us for a unique “makeathon” where students design and build their own robotic pets to amaze and inspire visitors at our Robot Petting Zoo. Using familiar materials like cardboard and craft supplies, combined with robotic components and programming, students bring their imaginative creations to life. This hands-on experience allows them to showcase their creativity, develop essential project-building skills, and collaborate effectively with team members. Come and witness the magic of innovation and teamwork!

Make a Movie

This is our classic Make a Movie program but as a week long summer camp! Students go behind the scenes as they learn how to make their own short films. We offer a structured curriculum which builds a multitude of skills through carefully designed challenges. Evolution Academy Soccer Skills Camp

Join us for this week-long soccer camp for players born 2016 to 2021. Open to all players, especially those involved in or interested in academy soccer. This camp will be a fun and intense introduction to Evolution Academy. Players will work on balance and coordination, techniques for dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending, with scrimmages and skills challenges, and capped off by the popular small-sided World Cup competition. There will be a separate section for 5 and under players in the two hour mini camp. The following discounts are available: $45 discount for siblings, $35 discount for returning players, $25 discount for early registration. Pickleball Camp

Join our Youth Pickleball Camp to learn the basics of the game or improve your skills. Through fun drills and games, you'll learn serving, volleys, and rallying, while understanding the rules and strategies. Perfect for beginners or players with some knowledge looking to sharpen their game.

Fire Camp

Instructed by Colleyville firefighters, campers get hands-on experience practicing the skills required to be a firefighter. Campers learn CPR, first aid, and how to use a fire extinguisher, as well as participate in fun firefighter activities like fire hose relays, using the jaws of life, and repelling. Fishing Camp

Fishing camp is an unforgettable experience that leaves you hooked on old school fun! Our camp caters to all skill levels, offering hands-on experiences in knot tying, lure exploration, live bait techniques, and casting clinics. Campers are encouraged to bring their own poles and tackle for personalized guidance. If they don’t have equipment, we will have some to share.

Learn about Chinese ceramics, Croatian “licitar” hearts, Maori design carvings from New Zealand, “nicho” boxes from Mexico, and much more. Create art using a variety of materials, play games, and understand that through art we can connect with people from all over the world. Chess Wizards

Chess Wizards has been teaching the game of chess since 2002. Join us this summer for tons of challenging chess lessons, exciting games, and cool prizes. You'll improve your chess skills, meet new friends, and work out your most powerful muscle - your brain! Our camps include fun team chess games, like Corner Chess, recess time, snacks, tournaments, and puzzles. Each camper receives a t-shirt, trophy, and puzzle folder. We include all the materials necessary for your child to participate. Unleash your brain power and spend part of your summer break with Chess Wizards!

This camp is for players who are gearing up for select soccer tryouts this summer. The structured daily curriculum will cover dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending. Goalkeepers will work on shot stopping, reactions, crosses and long balls, scrimmage situations, and tactics. Case studies take place during lunch break each day followed by small-sided games. SUMMER CAMPS

Junior Police Academy

The Colleyville Police Department's Junior Police Academy is a great opportunity for the youth of Colleyville to learn what it takes to be a police officer. During this one week mini academy, students will gain knowledge of some of the functions their local law enforcement professionals perform on a daily basis. The students will learn pertinent information that can affect them in their community. Officers of the Colleyville Police Department provide the students instruction on many different facets of the police profession including traffic stops, handling crime scenes, SWAT operations, and conducting building searches.

Jazz and Hip Hop Camp

Get ready to groove, move, and have a blast at Jazz and Hip Hop Camp! This summer, we’re turning up the fun with a high-energy camp filled with amazing dance moves, awesome pop music, and tons of creative activities. From exciting dance routines to fun games, crafts, and tasty snacks – there’s never a dull moment!

Ages: 6-12

Adventure in Art

In this four-day workshop your artist will complete eight amazing works of art including landscapes, seascapes, animals, and florals using fine art principles, not simple crafts. Young artists will explore perspective drawing with charcoal, oil pastels, and painting with acrylics and watercolors taught by a certified Robert Garden instructor. Please bring a snack, water, paper towels, and wear old clothes. A separate $65 supply fee is due to the instructor the day of the class.

Our ultra-popular program includes several versions of dodgeball. The emphasis is on fun, teamwork, and exercise. We will play many different versions of the classic game using the coated foam balls. Can your team fix the chemical reaction fuel ratio to launch our Mega Rocket and save the mission? Discover innovative spacecraft as you explore, design, and engineer your very own Land Rocket Racer! Use creative thinking to overcome Vision Impossible. Convert sunlight to energy, conduct experiments using anti-gravity, explore centrifugal force, and build and program your own spacebot. Wild Robot Science Quest

Robot Explorers: Your mission is to design and build your very own motorized wild robot that will remind us that nature comes first and that animals need help too. Explore what living things need, ecosystems, and endangered animals. Next build an electric powered animal transporter equipped to help our robot rescue, rehab, and release them to the wild. Build a light projector beacon, a potato clock, and unleash the bionic ReptileBot. Coexisting with the natural world will always be necessary and will always be possible. Snapology's Junior Engineers

Does your little learner love to tinker and create new things? If so, they’re going to love Snapology’s Junior Engineers program! This program will give your student opportunities to build functional LEGO DUPLO models of elevators, amusement park rides, robotic dogs, spinning tops, and so much more! As your learner works alongside other little engineers, they will be learning the importance of teamwork and how collaboration is an essential component of engineering and design.

Fashion Designer Camp

Design principles in the areas of sketching, color and pattern coordination, costume design, and fashion history will be applied to each camper’s personal style and portfolio. Designs come to life with beautifully patterned papers, yards and yards of ribbons, colorful sequins, glitzy jewels, glamorous feathers, and oodles of other embellishments. Campers will be grouped into “Design Teams” for a variety of fun, engaging activities such as a White Wedding Fashion Show-down. Make new friends and build on your talented expression with personalized fashion.

Learning STEM with Hot Wheels!

Kinderbots Robotics

Endless tracks and obstacle courses await every Hot Wheels car lover as they discover the world of math and physical science. What goes up must come down…or does it? Momentum, push, pull, force, and friction are just some of the concepts they will understand. Mega Loop Mayhem, Shark Cliff Hanger, Wolf Mountain, and hundreds of cars are just some of the play equipment that will have campers yearning to come each day! Your child will not only have a solid background in science and math concepts, but will have also rolled away in good times with Hot Wheels!

Survival Tactics

Wrapped in games and adventure, unique challenges await you. During survival situations, the four basic needs become shelter, water, fire, and food. By introducing basic techniques, your child will learn how to purify water, Leave No Trace camping, signal for help, first aid, search for edible food, set up shelter, learn Army chants, and more! Team Survival games will keep the training light hearted and fun! Essential skills for all - designed for kids who like to work and play outside.

Embark on a coding adventure in our Kinderbots coding camp, where young programmers take the lead in bringing their robotic creations to life! Using a user-friendly, drag-and-drop programming format, children will enhance their coding skills week by week. From programming robots to respond to motion to adding loops and creating interactive sounds, this camp provides a dynamic environment for learning valuable programming skills. Students will foster a love for creative problem-solving as they work with their partners to code and operate their robots.

Coaster and Carnival Mystery

Unleash your inner engineer as you design and construct your very own roller coaster with turns, twists, and motorized gears! Solve a science “who done it” mystery using fun anatomy, physiology, and physics. Build a lie detector, experiment with black light, fingerprints, microscopes, slime, and mirror magic. Experience the thrill of the carnival with a lineup of science games, challenges, and mini rides. Speed Sports

Multi-Camp

Speed Sports is a multicamp that is fast-paced and active. During this program, players will play group games like capture the flag. Players will also drill speed movements where they will time their 40 yard dash and 5-10-5 pro shuttle. Bring water and a snack.

Snack Attack!

Dive into the world of cooking and baking, and most importantly, snacking! In this summer camp, students will learn to create tasty snacks to satisfy their culinary cravings. Students will build their culinary skills by mixing, measuring, baking, and sautéing up some tasty treats like oatmeal bars, popcorn chicken, brownies, and more. This camp teaches invaluable, lifelong skills and is a great confidence builder as students learn to cook. This camp can only accommodate nut allergies. Gluten and egg allergies are not accommodated. Once upon a time, in a world filled with sparkle and dreams, Tippi Toes invited all little princesses to join their enchanting Princess Dance Camp! Princesses from every corner of the kingdom will gather to meet fairies, ballerinas, and magical friends. Together, they’ll twirl and leap through graceful dances, listen to captivating princess stories, create magical crafts, and play royal games. It’s the perfect place to let your inner princess shine!

Once Upon a Time Art Camp

Calling all princes and princesses! Enter the enchanted kingdom of Abrakadoodle Land filled with castles, dragons, fairies, and stories of magic and surprise! We’ll create our own royalty gear, design our own castles, and sprinkle fairy dust to create colorful and whimsical art. We will learn about medieval life, create fairies, and a royal Fabergé Egg. You’ll get the regal treatment in a camp filled with fun art lessons, music, games, wonder, and enchantment! A separate $25 supply fee is due to the instructor the day of the class.

Basketball Tech Camp

Basketball Tech Camp is designed for players of all skills and abilities that are looking for a serious and fun basketball experience. We focus on individual dribbling skills, passing, and shooting but learn team concepts to put all of the pieces together. This is a skillbased program which utilizes drills and games to reinforce skills being taught. Part of each class time will be used for game scrimmages. Please bring a snack, water, and gym shoes.

3D Design, Modeling, and Printing

Dive into the world of 3D design and printing, where students explore key STEAM concepts and unleash their creativity. Students will learn 3D design to create and refine 3D models using cutting-edge design tools.
