Organic yes, organic no? by Valentina Caiazzo, Roberta Bindi
Organic or not organic? That is the question! When it comes to children, in particular, because the quality of the base products and the choice of ingredients should not even be questioned. The use of the organic term is often linked to absence of, more than the presence, of specific substances. Organic beauty is in favour of going back to old traditions, to cosmetics that are more or less produced following natural processes. Always with the hope that choosing to respect nature and focusing on natural processes is going to be beneficial to babies and children’s well-being. Frequently the family’s conscious choice of switching to organic becomes less imperative with time, often because children grow up and often due to the high price tags of ethical/bio/green products. However, the validity of the idea remains: a product in contact with our skin must be as healthy and as natural as possible, preferably with a hint of innovation, and, why not, also a certain attention to packaging. So we wish that the entire eco-sustainable supply chain is going to find a way that will allow its products to be used by a wider and wider audience. Bio o non bio? Questo è il problema! Quando si tratta di bambini, in particolare. La qualità del prodotto di base, la scelta degli ingredienti non dovrebbe neanche essere messa in discussione. L’uso della parola è spesso legato all’assenza più che alla presenza di sostanze, a favore di un recupero delle tradizioni, di una cosmesi e di un processo più o meno naturale. Sperando sempre che questa scelta volta al rispetto della natura e dei processi naturali nell’uso delle materie prime sia principalmente attenta al benessere del bambino. Frequentemente la scelta consapevole delle famiglie si riduce con il tempo, con la crescita. Spesso a causa anche degli elevati costi dei prodotti etici-bio-green. Rimane comunque radicata l’idea che un prodotto che sia a contatto con la nostra pelle, debba essere sano e il più possibile naturale, meglio se con un accenno di innovazione, e perché no, un’attenzione al packaging. Per cui auguriamo a tutta la filiera eco-sostenibile di trovare percorsi che permettano l’utilizzo dei loro prodotti ad un pubblico più vasto possibile.
