This is where Collezioni New(s) style begins, coherent with an interpretation that unfolds along new trends and lifestyles, for a view on the current aesthetics that African culture is foreseeing.

A new vital breath of freshness, starting from international exhibitions where inspirations influenced the fashion and design system on a global level, such as those held at the Maxxi in Rome, the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative at the Galleria d’Arte in Milan, and the exhibition organized by the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, just to name a few. The connection between different cultures and traditions also revealed the latest trends from Milano Unica’s Spring-Summer 2020, venturing into transversal fusions between food, music, past and present, as well as overlapping styles that delve into the world of the new generation, and with hybrid codes and lifestyles from Pitti Filati. Collezioni New(s)style free press is the result of various contributions from several Collezioni magazines: Trends, Donna, and Accessori, which summarize the messages received from today’s fashion universe and beyond.

There’s something new in the universe of Swarovski, with its ancient heart and hyper modern vision in how it moves through the variegated world of fashion and beyond. An inclusive company that wishes to share its experience with its clients, who are somehow part of the family. And so it does through Manufaktur, the crystal atelier of the 21st century.

The future is here and now. A place to meet, create, propose, and invent new products that are in tune with unique, ever more stimulating requests. This opens up an unprecedented scenario, an all-round collaboration from a co-creating perspective. All of Swarovski’s technology and experience is made available to satisfy the request of every client. Crystals are made-to-measure, according to a bespoke demand that is ever more distinct. This demand is met through rapid prototyping that allows to create crystal prototypes in different cuts and shapes, shortening the time required to implement this process. The result stems from a close collaboration between designers, clients, artisans, and technicians in the sector. Manufaktur was designed and developed in collaboration with Snøhetta, under the supervision of Carla Rumler, Swarovski’s Cultural Director. Adjacent to Manufaktur are two other buildings: Campus 311 and Crystal Factory on the Future. The building complex was officially inaugurated in the month in October and reflects the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship that has guided Swarovski for 123 years. Markus Langes-Swarovski, member of the Swarovski executive board, stated: “Manufaktur is a place dedicated to inspiration and creation that allows our clients to transform their ideas into real crystal objects in a very short time. Not just digital twins or 3D plastic printed copies but actual crystal creations that show their true sparkle, touch, and feel.” A perfect combination between tradition and innovation.

Un’azienda inclusiva che vuole condividere la propria esperienza con i clienti, che in qualche modo fanno parte della famiglia. Si chiama Manufaktur l’atelier del cristallo targato XXI secolo, il futuro è adesso e qui, un luogo dove ritrovarsi per creare, proporre, inventare nuovi prodotti in sintonia con le nuove richieste, sempre più stimolanti. Si apre così uno scenario inedito: una collaborazione a tutto tondo nell’ottica della corealizzazione: la tecnologia e l’esperienza Swarovski viene messa a disposizione per soddisfare le esigenze del cliente. Cristalli made on measure, secondo l’esigenza di personalizzazione che si fa sempre più specifica, a questo rispondono i processi di rapid prototyping che consentono la creazione di prototipi di cristallo dai tagli e dalle forme più diverse, abbreviando i tempi tecnici. Si concretizza così una stretta collaborazione fra creativi, clienti, artigiani e tecnici del settore. Accanto a Manufaktur ecco altri due edifici: Campus 311 e Crystal Factory on the Future, l’intero design degli interni è stato messo a punto in collaborazione con Snøhetta, sotto la supervisione di Carla Rumler, Direttrice Culturale Swarovski. Il complesso inaugurato ufficialmente nel mese di ottobre, rispecchia lo spirito di innovazione e di artigianalità che guida la maison Swarovski da 123 anni. THERE’S SOMETHING IN THE AIR Spring Summer 2019

Spring and summer are seasons that love a lightness in fabrics and decisive or slightly implied transparencies. They’ve made us accustomed to impalpable fabrics that rest on the body with extreme sensuality. In this new wave of proposals, everything becomes more ethereal, as in a quest for the impossible, and fashion designers know how to perceive it from climbing to the top. The key word in fashion is: freedom. Freedom to go, to travel, to relax, to listen to the sound of your own footsteps, to the music of the sea. Thousands of small feathers move in the wind, flit on tunics, inflate skirts, and adorn shoulders, while fringes dance and shimmer, conveying a forgotten sex appeal, and netting gracefully reveals and uncovers parts of the body. It’s time to dance.

La primavera e l’estate sono le stagioni che amano le leggerezze delle trame, le trasparenze decise o accennate, ci hanno abituato a tessuti impalpabili che si appoggiano al corpo con estrema sensualità, e in questa nuova ondata di proposte, tutto si fa ancora più etereo, come alla ricerca dell’impossibile e i fashion designer sanno come salire in vetta per percepirla. La fashion key word è: libertà. Libertà di andare, di viaggiare, di rilassarsi, di ascoltare il suono dei propri passi, la musica del mare. Si muovono al vento le mille e una piccola piuma, adagiate sulle casacchine, vanno a gonfiare le gonne, adornano le spalle. E poi frange che danzano, brillano, regalando un sex appeal dimenticato, ed ecco la rete che svela parti del corpo mentre lo copre con grazia. È tempo di ballare.

Swing! This is the leitmotiv that runs through the entire Anteprima collection. The cold tones of the sea, with its thousand shades and nuances, and then, suddenly, the sunset, with its warm tones of orange, pink and yellow. Some references to the adventurous spirit of the 1960’s appear in some of the garments and accessories.

The bags played an important role in the fashion show: made of interwoven small beads, of transparent PVC worn one inside the other, also available as bumbags to be worn on the shoulder or on the waist. The shoes instead have a retro feeling: they are either low lace-ups or have square heels and ankle straps.

An anthological collection of the entire Emporio Armani style, in a continuous cross-pollination between menswear and womenswear, between glamorous elegance and urban functionality. Indispensable for traveling from one city to the other, sneakers, small backpacks, maxi versatile bags, ankle boots, shoes with sculpted heels. The signature colour choices move from neutral dusty tones to a range of blues, including navy and denim, lit by lurex flares and an electric energy. Giorgio Armani presented this incredible fashion show in the setting of a Milano Linate airport hangar.

Swing! Questo il fil rouge che attraversa l’intera collezione Anteprima. I toni freddi del mare, con le sue mille tonalità e sfumature e poi d’improvviso il tramonto, con i toni caldi di arancione, rosa e giallo. Influenze anni 60 con il suo spirito avventuroso fanno breccia in alcuni capi e accessori. Le borse sono state le grandi protagoniste della sfilata: realizzate con intreccio di piccole perline, in PVC trasparente una dentro l’altra, o in versione marsupio da indossare a spalla o in vita. Le scarpe invece hanno un’aria retrò, basse e stringate o con tacco squadrato e cinturino alla caviglia.

Collezione antologica di tutto lo stile Emporio Armani, in una continua contaminazione fra la moda maschile e quella femminile, tra eleganza glamour e funzionalità urbana. Indispensabili per viaggiare fra le metropoli, sneakers e piccoli zaini, maxi sacche versatili, stivaletti, scarpe con tacchi scultura. Le scelte cromatiche sono una signature che muove dai toni neutri e polverosi alla gamma dei blu, navy e denim, illuminate da bagliori di lurex ed energie elettriche. Giorgio Armani ha presentato questo incredibile spettacolo nella cornice dell’hangar dell’aeroporto di Milano Linate.

WAITING FOR POLKA DOTS Spring Summer 2019

When the weather is pleasant, our imagination seizes the power of the joy of living. In this fantastic world, where tempera colors, bold and full of energy, are the masters, we come upon the most creative solutions that are inspired by the universe of design. Geometric prints, in a micro version like a mosaic, and Vichy squares that take us back to the Riviera, to days filled with sunshine and salt air.

Macro lines, some very rational and others are rippled, straight from Pop Art, are like the brush strokes that stand out on ultra-chic dusters. And what about flowers? How could we live without their scents?

Con la bella stagione la fantasia prenderà il potere all’insegna della gioia di vivere.

In questo mondo fantastico, dove i colori delle tempere, forti e pieni di energia, la fanno da padrone, s’incontrano le soluzioni più creative che s’ispirano all’universo del design. BETWEEN RIGUEUR AND GLAM Spring Summer 2019

When we speak of Great Britain, we think of its tie with traditions, with everyday rituals, the royal family, and unforgettable moments. This is how important stories of a nation that is cosmopolitan and also open-minded are preserved. Even London Fashion Week, with its increasingly rich calendar of events, is proof of this concept, starting with Burberry’s new collection, and the debut of its creative director, Riccardo Tisci, who stated: “I have enormous respect for the British heritage of Burberry and am excited by the potential of this incredible brand.” Unprecedented trenches are a tribute to its DNA, but with a twist. Then there’s Erdem Moralioglu.

With his love for important fabrics and his background in textile studies from the Royal College of Art in London, he is seduced by the stuffiness and austereness of the Victorian style, just enough to suffice, and Simone Rocha, daughter of the famous John Rocha, saturates her proposals with a decadent romanticism that is tinged with history, ancient stuccoes, and Chinese gilding, while Richard Quinn passionately flirts with haute couture from yesteryear. Ready for five o’clock tea?

Quando si parla della Gran Bretagna si parla del legame alle imprescindibili tradizioni, ai riti della giornata, all’attenzione per la famiglia reale, momenti indimenticabili.

Bella cosa perchè così si preservano storie importanti, cariche di significati, che fanno il senso di una nazione, cosmopolita ed aperta al contempo. Anche la London Fashion Week, con il suo calendario sempre più ricco, non smentisce il concetto. Prima fra tutte la nuova collezione di Burberry, alla direzione creativa il debutto di Riccardo Tisci, che afferma: “Ho un enorme rispetto per l’heritage inglese di Burberry e sono eccitato dal potenziale di questo incredibile marchio.” I trench, inediti, sono un inno al DNA del celebre brand, ma con twist. Erdem (Moralioglu) ama le stoffe importanti, alle spalle studi sul tessile al Royal College of Art di Londra, e si lascia sedurre dallo stile vittoriano, austero e serioso q.b. Simone Rocha, figlia del celebre John, intride le sue proposte con un certo romanticismo decadente che profuma di storia, di stucchi antichi e dorature cinesi, mentre Richard Quinn flirta, appassionatamente, con l’haute couture d’antan. An Accessory Design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Saumya demonstrates a great love for craftsmanship and for the process of making. For her, the accessories are works of art that can be worn, as it is not difficult to see by observing her creations. ‘Shadow Tattoo’ is a range of accessories that lose a little of their function by entrusting it to shadows. As a matter of fact, shadows are projected onto the body becoming themselves something to wear thanks to a really interesting futuristic approach. The entire complexity of this creative approach is apparent in the ‘Simply’ jute bag with wooden details and a simple but articulated design with a strong visual impact, very attentive to architectural construction, to nature and to sustainability.

Studentessa di design dell’accessorio presso il Fashion Institute of Technology di New York, Saumya dimostra un amore per il lavoro artigianale e per il processo di realizzazione dei suoi accessori. Per lei l’accessorio è un pezzo d’arte che può essere indossato, come non è difficile infatti immaginare osservando le sue creazioni. “Shadow tattoo” è una linea di accessori che perdono un po’ la loro funzione affidandola alle ombre. Queste infatti si proiettano sul corpo diventando esse stesse l’elemento da indossare, una visione futuristica davvero interessante. Ma ciò in cui vediamo la totale complessità creativa è nello sviluppo della borsa in iuta “Simply” con dettagli in legno, un design semplice ma articolato, di forte impatto, con attenzione alla costruzione architettonica, alla natura e alla sostenibilità.

The first Open Call The winners of the Open Call initiative for young accessory designers The desire for new ideas, for discovering new talents, for giving voice to small companies. These were the starting points and guidelines that pushed Collezioni Accessori to launch an appeal to young designers on a global scale. We asked them to send to us the images and the description of their accessory collection. We are happy to say that we received very good replies from young talents from all over the world. In these pages you will find the 3 winners of this first Open Call initiative who have been selected by our editorial team according to criteria of creativity, of the development of their work, of the successfulness of the final product. It was not easy to choose the winners but we hope that they will provide a stimulus to other creatives and future designers and that they will be appreciated and supported by the industry in the future.

La voglia di novità, di nuovi nomi, di scoprire talenti, di dare voce a piccole realtà: sono stati questi i punti di partenza che hanno spinto Collezioni Accessori a lanciare un appello ai giovani designers del panorama internazionale. La richiesta era quella di inviarci le immagini e la storia di una collezione di accessori. Siamo felici di poter dire che abbiamo ricevuto un buonissimo riscontro da parte di giovani talenti da tutto il mondo. In queste pagine troverete i 3 vincitori di questa prima Open Call: i talenti sono stati selezionati dalla nostra redazione secondo criteri di creatività, sviluppo del proprio lavoro, riuscita del prodotto finale. La scelta non è stata facile e speriamo che i vincitori siano di stimolo per altri creativi e futuri designers, e che possano essere apprezzati e supportati nel loro percorso.

A second year student at the Fashion Institute of Technology with a passion for manual work that has its roots in the craft of her great-grandfather, a shoemaker from the Calabria region in Italy. According to Alexandra, shoes can changes the outlook of the day: it is essential that they are comfortable, shaped to hug the foot, always with special attention to design and style. The particularity of her shoes are the sculptural wide heels that give those extra inches needed to slim down the silhouette and to give an elegantly graceful look. A very young, but passionate about tradition and craftsmanship, designer to keep an eye on.

Una giovane designer al secondo anno del Fashion Institute of Technology con la passione per la lavorazione manuale che affonda le sue radici nel mestiere del proprio bisnonno, calzolaio originario della Calabria. Secondo Alexandra la scarpa ti cambia la giornata, ed è fondamentale che sia comoda, plasmata per abbracciare il piede, con attenzione al design e allo stile. La particolarità delle sue calzature è il tacco, scultoreo, largo, che conferisce alla silhouette quei centimetri in più necessari per slanciare la figura rimanendo elegantemente aggraziate. Una designer da tenere sott’occhio, giovanissima ma amante della tradizione e del lavoro artigianale.

A designer, an artist, an architect: these three different professions come alive and provide their best characteristics in Tetiana’s creations. The accessory collection featured in these pages is aptly called ‘At the beginning there was the body’ as these accessories recreate parts of our body using copper and aged silver. La collezione di accessori qui presentata si chiama “All’inizio era il corpo”, giacché questi accessori ricreano parti del nostro corpo, realizzati in argento invecchiato e rame. L’intento di Tetiana è quello di mettere in evidenza e mostrare anche sfacciatamente la bellezza che ogni corpo ha e che spesso cerchiamo di nascondere o di adattare e plasmare su modelli che, alla fine non ci appartengono. Il corpo è un foglio bianco dove con il tempo si scrive una storia che questa collezione vuole narrare.

The Frida and Metropolis ranges comprise of jewels made of gold-plated brass enriched by precious and semi-precious stones like zircon, quartz and amethyst. The range dedicated to the famous artist Frida Kahlo comprises of extremely delicate and light pieces with floral decorative details. The Metropolis range instead is characterised by small glass tubes in different lengths, comparable to small skyscrapers, that decorate rings and bracelets and create futuristic designs.

Pure London, which takes place in the capital twice a year at the Olympia London, welcomes over 17,000 visitors and is one of the UK’s most important fashion trade fairs. The next edition will be held from February 10th to 12th, 2019.

Basic colors, natural materials, minimal lines all define an elegant wardrobe that is also comfortable, where volumes and silhouettes are carefully studied. The idea is an urban woman on holiday in the Mediterranean. Nature is expressed with prevailing pastel tones, the colors of sand, linen and cotton are the primary materials. A unique style that reflects the identity of the wearer is the idea behind the creations designed by Kyoo Sun Lee for the Korean brand, MINITZ.
