Inaugural UMB Bank PGA HOPE Colorado Cup A Major Success

Colorado PGA Members, Associates, and Friends,

This past year the team and I have had a front-row seat watching our Colorado PGA Members and Associates exceed on and off the course. Whether it was Head PGA Professional at Conquistador Golf Course Micah Rudosky winning his third Section Championship in a row, 34 PGA of America Golf Professionals raising over $126,000 for charity in the Play Yellow Birdie Bash, Steve Wallace, PGA and Andrew Shuck, PGA conducting successful USGA Championships at their respective facilities, or Colorado PGA Life Member Bob Doyle being named Golf Professional of the Year for the third time in his career, it truly has been fun to be on the sidelines And now, it’s time to recognize these accomplishments and celebrate together as a Section!

In the next few weeks, the Section will conduct both the Fall Membership Meeting and Awards Gala at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Course and Cherry Hills Country Club, respectively The theme of both of these events will be to celebrate YOU the Colorado PGA of America Golf Professional At the Fall Membership Meeting, we will be joined by a top-class leadership expert, Dr Norris for education We will then give you an update on the happenings across the Section and Foundation in 2023 and we will CELEBRATE our newly elected Class A Members, Major Championship Host PGA Professionals, and our new Superintendent and Sales Representative Award Recipients We will also welcome two new Board of Directors A few days later we will be in awe watching the unbelievably talented 2023 Section Award Winners and Players of the Year at the Section Awards Gala This will once again be emceed by the talented Joe Cole of Fox21 News Colorado and will be in a slightly different more engaging format. We hope to see many of our PGA of America Golf Professionals in attendance at both events.

Thank you to all our Members, Partners, Donors, Trustees, and Friends of the Colorado PGA Section for helping to make 2023 such a successful year that saw growth across the board in tournament purses, West Chapter support, foundation fundraisers, junior programming, and PGA HOPE. As Henry Ford stated, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself ” Let’s continue to move forward together for the betterment of the game and the lives of all Colorado PGA of America Golf Professionals
