A Message from the Mountains
First and foremost, a well-deserved congratulations to West Chapter PGA Member Micah Rudoski, Head Professional at Conquistador Golf Course in Cortez, CO, on his impressive win at the Section Championship at River Valley Ranch!
A big thank you to all the PGA Professionals and their facilities that stepped up and supported West Chapter Events this year:

It’s been a great season of West Chapter Events, and the Section has stepped up immensely to support this great event that benefits West Chapter Collegiate-bound golfers. The Western Colorado Golf Foundation is a non-profit that has given out over $200K in financial assistance to West Chapter Jr. Golfers attending College since 1999. The Western Colorado Cup Matches benefit this fund and provide a great partnership opportunity between Professionals and amateurs in the region.
The Colorado Section has generously granted the West Chapter an additional $3K through the PGA Reach Pillar Grant Program to put toward this event. These funds will offset some of the out-of-pocket hotel expenses historically taken on by West Chapter PGA Professionals to play in the event, as well as allow for additional remaining funds to be added to the Western Colorado Golf Foundation donation on behalf of the West Chapter. Additionally, the Section secured a clothing/uniform sponsorship for this event through its partner, Radmor. A huge thank you to Section Executive Director Steven Bartkowski and his team for supporting the Cup Matches with their efforts.
At the Spring Meeting, the West Chapter Board passed a motion that was mutually agreed upon with the WCGF, as to the make-up of the Teams, increasing the number of players from 8 to 10, and adding 2 ‘ladies' spots to the event:
Team Makeup:
10 players, 5 open, 3 seniors (50&up), 2 ladies. Team Spots are to be allocated as follows: WC (facility based) first-WC Points list first 30 Men, on points list have priority, and first 5 ladies, then selection would widen to entire Section facility based WC Members.
Upon immediate completion of the West Chapter Championship, we will begin reaching out to qualified players to ascertain their availability. If you are qualified, we hope that you can represent the Chapter at this great event!
On behalf of the West Chapter Board, we look forward to seeing you in Aspen Glen!
