FACILITIES (CHECK!), FRIENDS (CHECK!), AND A HUNDRED WAYS TO GROW YOUR INTERESTS (CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!) CCAD’s downtown campus has everything you need— including a beautiful quad—and you can walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes. »» Professional studios and equipment for each major area of study »» A huge main gallery, numerous smaller galleries, and an active exhibitions program that brings international artists and artwork to campus »» A supply store with discounts for CCAD students »» A student center with a café, lounges, and a fitness center »» Dining options: an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, a café, and a convenience store »» Two residence halls: one apartment-style and one with suites But we’re not just buildings. CCAD is a creative community of more than 1,300 students from 23 countries and 40 U.S. states. You’ll learn from the talent all around you, and that talent is one of the best things about being here.

One of the 50-plus festivals held in the metro area each year.

Lifestyle Community Pavilion, one of many outdoor stages.

CCAD has dozens of organizations related to different student interests. And when you’re ready to blow off some steam, there are all kinds of campus events— movie nights, talent shows, laser tag, the Big Boo! Halloween party, and much more.

COLUMBUS—A GREAT PLACE TO BE INSPIRED.

Columbus is a city big enough to offer challenges, variety, and opportunity, but small enough that your voice and contributions matter. CCAD is located in the heart of a downtown that is vibrant, clean, affordable, and safe—and surrounded by an impressive array of cultural opportunities. The Columbus Museum of Art is right next door, and within a short walk are the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the historic Ohio Statehouse, parks, theatres, and shopping. A bit farther and you’re in the Short North, our nationally recognized arts district.

THE THINKING MIND IS AN ACQUIRED SKILL— AND YOU’RE GOING TO MASTER IT. CCAD’s BFA curriculum is 60% studio courses. You’ll use cutting-edge, industry-standard tools until you know them in and out. And digital skills are part of everything right from the start. But to be a successful creative person in the 21st century, you need to be more than just adept—you need to be intelligent. So the other 40% of your BFA degree is liberal arts—art and design history, writing, literature, philosophy, social sciences, natural sciences, math, business—all designed to relate directly to the visual arts.

WE’RE HERE TO HELP WITH THE DETAILS.

To get the most accurate estimate of how your credits might transfer, you’ll need to submit all college transcripts and your portfolio. Don’t have a portfolio? We can offer you advice on how to develop one. Transferring your financial aid to CCAD is easy.
