Ronald E. THOMPSON
Bob died suddenly Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home in Otsego. He was born August 27, 1951 in Kalamazoo the son of John and Mildred (Zidell) Wolthuis. Bob served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. For over 20 years he was a journeyman for Kalamazoo Sheet Metal Company and then later W. Soule. On October 30, 1975 in Kalamazoo he married Susan Cotcher. Bob was a hardworking man who loved horses and spoiling his grandchildren. He was very family oriented and went out of his way to keep his family his number one priority. He was active in the lives of his children and had coached many softball and basketball teams during their school years. Bob had a very big heart and went out of his way without being asked to help anyone in need. Surviving are his wife, Susan; his children, Adrienne (Dan) Ranger and Christopher Wolthuis; his grandchildren, Olivia, Aidan and Rylee Ranger and Evelyn, Mary, and Adelle Wolthuis; and his siblings, Jim, Bill, Steve, Judy and Diane. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Daniel. Friends may visit with Bob’s family at the First Congregational Church of Otsego on Monday, December 8, 2014 starting at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Darin Youngs officiating. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the Allegan County Chapter of the Child Evangelism Fellowship or to Hospice of Southwest Michigan. Ronald passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Kalamazoo. Ron was born May 31, 1954 in Kalamazoo to Vernon and Marie (Ordiway) Thompson and lived most of his life in Otsego. He was a 1972 graduate of Otsego High School and for 32 years was employed with Flexible Furniture. Surviving are a sister and a half-brother, Eva Thompson of Otsego and Vernon S. Thompson of Vicksburg; aunts and uncles, Mary Pion of Otsego, Phyllis Chapman of Illinois, Gary (Tina) Chapman of Bellevue and Mike (Carmen) Chapman of Indiana; several cousins; many friends; and his special fur baby, Dexter. Preceding Ron in death were his parents; stepfather, Ed Ordiway; and aunt Joan. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may join the family from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Otsego Township Hall for a time of remembrance and refreshments. Contributions in memory of Ron may be made to a charity of your choice.

Bonnie K. FULLER AGE 71 – PLAINWELL
Bonnie passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Life Care Center in Plainwell. She was born October 29, 1943 in Plainwell the daughter of Lester “Shorty” and Viona Fleeman. Bonnie was one of six children and lived most of her younger years in Plainwell and in Orangeville where she helped her father build the family’s brick house on Marsh Road. Later she met and married Eugene Guerin and had two children. Although the marriage was unsuccessful it never deterred Bonnie from her main goal which was to provide for her kids. She wasn’t able to finish high school so she did return and completed her GED. She then applied to Parker Hannifin in Otsego and was hired as an assembler of hydraulic pumps and worked there for approximately 15 years. She made sure both of her children graduated from High School always stressing the importance to them from Kindergarten on. Bonnie was a people person, if you knew Bonnie you knew love and laughter. She would always find a way to ease your troubles just by being herself. Bonnie was always a lover of the kitchen scene, cooking, baking and canning. She positively set the bar for potato soup and Missouri mud cookies. She was also a huge lover of animals. Once she married Raymond Fuller in 1989 there were plenty of animals around; dogs, cats, birds, ducks, chickens and at one point goats. She had a very happy life even when her health was failing her humor never did. She kept us all going with that beautiful smile and snarky attitude. Surviving are her daughter, Mindi Jean (Vern) Oetman; her grandchildren, great–grandchildren, her brothers–in-law, John Madden and Wayne Baughman; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her son, Robert; her brothers, Carl and Lester Lee; and sisters, Lillian Baughman and Rhonda Madden. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the

Cody passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home in Pine Grove Township. He was born September 16, 1994 in Kalamazoo the son of Timothy and Shawntell (Felty) Bazan. Cody enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spending time at Silver Lake, dirt bikes and fixing things. For the past year he worked at Armintrout Tree Farm in Allegan. Surviving are his parents, Tim and Shawntell; fiancée, Becca Morse; his daughter Helen Bazan; his siblings, Jaxson, Kaiden and Bryce; his grandparents, Bonnie Bazan, Bill (Tammy) Bazan, Vickie Thomas and Terry Felty; his aunts, uncles and cousins. Delores “Dee” (Belcher, Youngs) WOOD AGE 75 – OTSEGO, MI
Dee went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Dee was born on July 22, 1939, at William Crispe Hospital in Plainwell, Michigan, the daughter of Burdette Charles Belcher and Helen Belle (Cole) Belcher. Dee lived in the Otsego area most of her life and graduated from Otsego High School in 1957. In 1960, Dee married William Youngs and they had two children together; a son, Trace Shane Youngs of Otsego and a daughter, Shay Mikel Youngs of South Bend, IN. This marriage ended in divorce. On September 17, 1994, Dee married the love of her life, Dennis Wood. Dee and Dennis are members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kalamazoo. Dee worked at several local companies; The Upjohn Company, Parker Hannifin Brass Division and Hydraulic Pump Division and, (Allegan Area Educational Service Agency) AAESA. Dee had many friends at these organizations. Dee valued education and spent a lot of time going to school to enrich her life. She graduated from Parson’s Business School as an Executive Secretary; she graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Mid-Management & Marketing degree and she graduated from Davenport University with a BA degree in Management. Dee was a voracious reader and spent a lot of time reading and volunteering at books sales and other activities at the Otsego Public Library. Dee was also a member of the Otsego Public Library’s, Friends of the Library organization. She was also an environmentalist and worked quietly and diligently to protect the environment and wildlife. Dee belonged to Defenders of Wildlife, World Wildlife Fund and the National Wildlife Federation. She was also very concerned about protecting Michigan’s Great Lakes and keeping the Lakes from being polluted and keeping the fresh water of the Great Lake States from being sold to other states. Dee is survived by the love of her life, Dennis Wood and her son, Trace (Jackie ) Youngs, her daughter Shay (Noel) Recla, her brother, Burdett (Sonny) Belcher ( Altha) of Kalamazoo, her sister, Evva Lee Applehans of Colorado, her step-daughter, Dr. Noelle (Tim) Franklyn of Whitehall, step-son, Jared Wood of Plainwell, grandchildren; her sweetheart, Cheyenne Maria Youngs, her honey guy, Ian Recla; her JoJo, Joel Franklyn, her Nikki, Natalie Kay Franklyn, and her step-grandchildren, Scott Hendrixson, step great-grandson, her big guy, Caleb Hendrixson, step-granddaughter, Samantha (Bill) Lemke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen & Burdette Belcher and her many favorite Aunts, and her best friend Mildred (Mickey) VanArsdale Nelson. She will also be missed by her dogs, Bear and Honey. Friends may visit with Dee’s family Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalamazoo with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego. Contributions in memory of Dee may be made to the Otsego District Public Library or to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
