Stacey passed away January 14, 2019 in Otsego. She was born June 16, 1986 in Muskegon, the daughter of Michael Feistel and Deborah (Baker) Ready. Stacey loved working at Bronson Methodist Hospital where she had worked in the Emergency Department. She enjoyed watching and collecting movies and items from the Wizard of Oz. Stacey was very generous, caring and had a big heart. She loved spending time with her family and many friends. On February 6, 2009 in Allegan she married Douglas Ong’iyo who survives. George Russell “Russ” Colegrove, 93, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home in Grand Junction, surrounded by his family. Russ was born in Billings, Montana on February 18, 1925 to Raymond and Lois (Warrant) Colegrove. He graduated from Otsego High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After World War II, Russ attended Michigan State College. He had worked at Valley Metal Products and several architectural and engineering companies as a mechanical engineer. Russ retired from Tower, Pinkster & Titus in 1998. He completed his college degree in organizational management at age 78. Russ had a reputation of being able to fix anything and was affectionately called Mr. Fix-It by many of those at Warner Camp and Warner University where he enjoyed volunteering his time and talents. Russ also enjoyed fishing, carpentry, deer hunting and spending time with his family. On January 26, 1952 at the Otsego Church of God he married Beverly Gregory who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Linda (Randy) Donaldson, Karen (David) Sutton and Sharon (Thomas) Woods; son, Gregory (Laura) Colegrove; grandchildren, Matthew Donaldson, Emily (Brad) Brocklehurst, Sara Donaldson, Phil (Bianca) Woods, Drew (Melanie) Woods, Brandon Sutton, Scott (Emma) Colegrove and Christopher Russell Colegrove and great-grandchildren, Isabel and Abigail Brocklehurst and Isaac Russell Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Harry, Tom and Dave. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Pastor Timothy Foreman officiated with Pastor Stephen Burrow and Pastor Steve Starks. Burial followed at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell. Whether in the personal realm; or in the world of politics, business, sports, education or even in religion we learn to live with our differences.

In the Christian life, the question is not what I want but what does God want for my life? When our desires align with God’s will, our destiny is assured. In other words, desire determines destiny. Let’s take a closer look. DESIRE

“Delight yourselves in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).

When our desires align with God’s will, we can trust God to do amazing things in our lives.

DREAM When we open ourselves to God, the vision of a better life is instilled within us. Every achievement begins with a dream. There is an old proverb, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Yet it is never enough to dream. Turning dreams into reality requires determination. DETERMINATION

I have always been inspired by the following verse. “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). In other words, with God all things are possible. Some call this will power. I call it God power … God working in us to make us stronger. DISCIPLINE

Jan passed away on January 10, 2019 in Allegan. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI to Louis and Jeanne Page on December 27, 1949. She graduated from Portage Northern. She married Norman Belden on August 28, 1982 in Allegan, MI. Jan retired from the Department of Human Services for the State of Michigan after 30 years. Most recently, she worked part time at Allegan City Hall as a receptionist, doing her part making you smile as you were paying your city water bill. Jan loved to play bingo as well as Keno at the casino. She had a love for animals, especially her dogs. She also had a soft spot for children of all ages and loved family gatherings. Those who were fortunate enough to know her, know that she was very witty. She had the ability to make you laugh and smile on a day you would have rather frowned. She was always looking for the positive things in life and instilling them in the people who surrounded her. Jan was a very giving, loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt and friend to all. She will be greatly missed by those who have known her. Jan is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Louie Page, sisters Priscilla Lane and Mary Lou (Ken) Russell. Jan is survived by her husband, Norm Belden, son Bryan (Debbie) Belden, daughter Angie Heckman, sisters Nancy Page, Tammy (Todd) Dussia, brother Tom (Donna) Page, granddaughters Bryanna Belden, McKennah and DeLaney Heckman, brother-in-law Larry Lane and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. AGE 81 - PLAINWELL, MI Linda passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Alamo Nursing Home in Kalamazoo. She was born September 15, 1937 in Plainwell, the daughter of William and Ruth (Daniels) Meyle. For over 20 years she had worked at Meijer in Kalamazoo until her retirement in 1992. Linda was the family historian and enjoyed painting, flower gardening and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a skilled baker and was known for her delicious pies. Linda was a member of the Plainwell United Methodist Church for 63 years. On September 2, 1955 at the Plainwell United Methodist Church she married Marvin Shook who survives. Also surviving are her children, Kim (Chris) Milani, Randy (Mary) Shook, Angie (Harold) Immekus and Jeff ( Gail) Shook; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Josh, Matt, Alex, Erica and Kaley; 4 great-grandchildren, Lexus, Kait, Liam and Luke; siblings, Ann (Dan) Pell and Sandy Deason along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Pastor Dan Minor officiated. Burial followed at Hillside Cemetery, Plainwell. Gerald passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home in Otsego. He was born April 25, 1955 in Plainwell the son of Floyd and Beverly (Gillette) Taylor. Jerry grew up on Gun Lake where he enjoyed fishing and boating. He moved to Idaho in the mid 90’s and returned to Michigan in 2011. He had also spent time in Alaska, Washington and Montana logging. Jerry was happiest when he was on his motorcycle and hunting with his dogs. He enjoyed traveling to many bike rallies and drinking with his buddies. Jerry was known for his stories and enjoyed razzing others with his quick wit. Surviving are his daughter, Dana (Cody) VanSparrentak; grandchildren, Devon, Olivia, Ebon and Camdon; his mother; sister, Merrilee (Darrell) Slawson; brother, Craig Taylor; niece, Stephanie (Jacob) Wrisley and nephews, Stephan (Mirella) Slawson and Joshua Turcott. He was preceded in death by his father in 1999 and son, Jeremy in 2002. Scott passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Life Care Center in Plainwell. He was born June 30, 1963 in West Branch, the son of William and Joyce (Porter) Nickerson. Scott had worked at area horse farms, in maintenance at Allegan Metal Finishing, farmed with his family raising pigs and stripped tobacco in the south. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and had entered and won several tournaments. Scott was a Detroit Lions and U of M fan and liked listening to country music. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. On March 30, 2001 he married Beth Julien who passed away in 2010. Surviving are his parents; siblings, Bill (Marge) Nickerson; Terry Channells and Kevin (Cheryl) Nickerson; daughter, Keshia Hofer of Wisconsin; 2 grandchildren, Shia and Mirabell; aunt, Linda Porter; several nieces and nephews and his special pet, Little Boy. Stephen M. Miller, 80, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Allegan Medical Care Community. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Vickie, Allegan MI; his sister, Ann (Roger) Hulsey; five children: Tawni Barnes, Lezza Mignery, Ruth Philpott, Stephen Miller, Jr., Amy Ansari and three step children: Brenda Caron, Todd Lonsbury, Robin Adams; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Steve was born in Marion, IN on November 2nd, 1938, to Omar William and Dara Ruth (Malott) Miller. He graduated in 1956 from Central High School, South Bend, IN, where he competed on the high school swim team and in water skiing sports. After serving in the Army, Steve went on to work 17 years as an air traffic controller at Chicago O’hare International Airport. As an entrepreneur, he raised crops for sale and upon retirement, ran a lawn grooming business. He retired in 2001 from a career in CAD engineering at Prince Corp., Holland, MI. Afterwards, he accepted a position as department manager at Bittersweet Ski Resort, where his work career ended due to health issues. Steve was a member of Promise Keepers, attending conventions, and was devoted to leading others to the Lord. He was involved in the construction and maintenance of Christ Community Church, Allegan, MI, where he served and was a member for 23 years. Steve and his wife took great joy serving as foster parents for many years. He loved guiding and encouraging the youth. He enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, rock hunting and travel. His work has ended and his earthly journey complete. We will miss him, but we rest in full assurance of the Lord, we will be with him again in heavenly glory. We owe a debt of gratitude to the staff of Allegan Medical Care Community for the loving care provided to Steve over the last two years. Our family thanks you for your tireless service. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Christ Community Church in Allegan with Pastor Wally Coots officiating. AGE 68 - ORANGEVILLE, MI Alan passed away on January 13th, 2019 at his home. Al was born on August 20, 1950, the son of Ralph and Betty (Weiss) Walley. Al is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Debbie (Hall) Walley, daughters: Angie (Ron) Brierly and Stacy (Mark) Elkins; grandchildren: Maesen Alan Elkins, Olivia Brierly, Ashley Elkins, and Emily Elkins. Also surviving are his siblings: Robert (Sharon) Walley, Sue (Ernie) Hamilton, his twin sister, Alane Letson, Kathy Hinkley, and David Walley; many nieces, one nephew, and many friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Chuck Wing; and his beloved Chihuahua, Trixie Sue. Al was a proud United States Army Veteran, who served in Vietnam. Before his health deteriorated, he was an avid golfer and loved to ride his motorcycle. Al was very smart and could repair or put together most anything. Al lived for his family, especially his wife, two daughters and grandchildren. He had a quick wit and was well known for his way of expressing his opinions, especially his love of our country and the news of the day. Al was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed. Friends and relatives may meet with the family on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 am, with the memorial service following at 12:00 pm, at Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton, MI Pastor Mike Risner will be officiating. She loved hunting for mushrooms, fishing, gardening and antiquing. She is survived by her best friend, middle school sweetheart and husband, Jeff Matthews.
