revdminor@att.net _____________________________________ “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourself with Christ” – Galatians 3:27 Did you hear the story about a first-grade schoolteacher who was having a bad day? It had snowed all day and over thirty schoolchildren were squeezed into a small classroom, with no recess. The teacher was anxious for the three o’clock dismissal bell. As the hour approached, she began the laborious job of helping them get their snow clothes on. They were ready with the exception of a sixyear-old boy who had a pair of snow boots which were impossible to get on. There were no zippers, snaps or hooks – and they had to be pulled on with great effort. The teacher pulled, tugged, yanked and jerked and was relieved when they finally slipped on. But then the little boy said, “Teacher, these are not my boots!” The teacher wanted to scream but instead whispered a prayer, took a deep breath and frantically pulled them off. Then the little boy said, “They’re my sister’s boots, but sometimes she lets me wear them!” The point: God alone is righteousness, but through Christian baptism He allows us to wear it. When we are baptized in Christ, we put on Christ (Galatians 3:27). One day, in the words of the hymn writer, we will be “dressed in righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne.”

Sandra D. TACKETT AGE 64 – OTSEGO, MI

Sandy passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born November 11, 1951 in Allegan, the daughter of Merl and Addie (Parsons) Mason. Sandy was a 1970 Otsego High School graduate and lifelong resident of the area. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, decorating her home for the holidays, playing with her dogs and traveling out west. She was a member and past president of the Gun River Conservation Club and was active with the Allegan County East Relay for Life. What Sandy loved most was spending time with her family and hosting many family gatherings over the years. On October 24, 1970 at the Otsego Church of God, she married Harold “J.R.” Tackett Jr., who survives. Also surviving are their children, Stephanie Tackett of Otsego and Chad (Andrea Ehlert) Tackett of Portage; her siblings, Roger Mason, Kitty Rop, Ken (Sherry) Mason, and Bob (Deb) Mason along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Don Rop and nephew, Jonathan Mason. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. This role will work one on one with our customers via email and over the phone assisting in the purchase of Factory Service Plans from our website. This position requires extreme flexibility for scheduling purposes. As a part of a 4 person team; the ideal candidate will be covering as needed for the other team members whose hours rotate from Monday thru Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday 11am-3pm.
