Obituaries Tommy JAMESON AGE 53 – PLAINWELL, MI

Tommy passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015. He was born December 17, 1961 to Douglas and Marshia (Stopher) Jameson. Tommy had worked at Hammond Machinery as a painter/finisher. He enjoyed building/running large scale RC cars and trucks and also working on autos having even come home with an ambulance. He enjoyed spending time up north at the lake and dunes; NASCAR races, especially Dale Earnhardt and Jimmie Johnson. Tommy loved his family and friends. Surviving are his wife Melissa and daughter Betsy; his mother Marshia; his siblings, Jeff Jameson, Kim Lewis all of Plainwell; nieces and nephews, Josh (Jamie) Jameson, Ashley (Travis Kuiper) Knarian, Clinton (Elizabeth) and Brittany Jameson; several great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego with Bill Rose Celebrant. Contributions in memory of Tommy may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or In Touch Ministries. Messages of condolence may be posted at www.WinkelFuneralHome.com

AGE 83 – ALLEGAN, MI Helen passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Allegan. She was born May 11, 1926 in Allegan the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Marble) Jewett. Helen enjoyed sewing, embroidery, knitting, reading, playing the piano, attending church, flower gardening, painting and riding in the car. On June 23, 1945 in Allegan she married Ivan Kibby who passed away in 1971. Surviving are their children, Ivan (Kathleen) Kibby of Allegan, Sharon Kibby of Charlotte, Helen (Randy) Baron of Tampa, FL, Ronald (Pamela) Kibby of Allegan, Bonneita (Orrin) Kibby of Comstock and Dale (Cathy) Kibby of Wesley Chapel, Fl; 9 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren and her special nephew, Kenneth. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Catherine Lee; infant brother, Max Jewett; son-in-law, Carl Shafer; uncle, Max B. Jewett; brothers and sisters in-law, Harrison and Mildred Kibby, Les and Geraldine Gable, Marion and Marge Schultz. A Funeral Service was held February 26th at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Allegan with The Rev. Ethan Jewett officiating. Burial will take place at Poplar Hill Cemetery at a later time. Contributions in memory of Helen may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Community, The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd or to the charity of your choice. We all love happy endings! Whether reading a good book, viewing a movie or watching our favorite team, we love positive results. One of the characters in Thornton Wilder’s play, Our Town, says “… Everybody knows in their bones that something is eternal.” Every believer lives with the conviction that there is indeed a life beyond this one. We don’t have to prove it. We just know! The Bible is clear: earth is not our final destination. The Psalmist said, “I am a stranger in the earth…” (119:19). Now we come to what has been called “a mighty crescendo of faith” in the Twenty-Third Psalm, “And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” In six short verses the Shepherd of our souls reassures of: • His presence (v.1) • His provision (v.2) • His pardon (v.3) • His protection (v.4) • His preparation (v.5) • His promise (v.6) “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor mind conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9). The most beautiful scene on earth? The most powerful words ever heard? The best picture of heaven ever imagined? Not even close to what Jesus has prepared for every believer (John l4:1-2). For every beginning there is an ending. For every ending is a new beginning. Sunset here is sunrise there! Prayer: Dear Shepherd of our souls, to know You is to know life eternal. In Jesus’ name.
