This same foundation is just as important for avoiding injury. Addressing muscle strength imbalances and inefficient movement patterns is key to building this strong foundation. This camp is appropriate for middle school and high school age (grades 6-12) boys and girls of all sport interests and skill levels.
The focus of this 2-day camp is to provide the athlete with:
Education on injury prevention. Education on functional movement patterns and how to perform a self-screen to identify muscle imbalances, weakness and flexibility/mobility problems. An introduction to functional strength training using the TRX, kettlebells, tires, ropes and other tools that incorporate multi-joint/full body movement patterns.

Obituaries Dale WELLS, Sr. AGE 82 – OTSEGO, MI
Dale passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013. Dale was born April 6, 1931 in Otsego to Clarence and Helen (Barrett) Wells. He had worked in the plastics and metal industry as a factory worker and had cut wood on site. On May 27, 1951 in Plainwell he was married to Margaret May Bailey who survives. Also surviving are his children Harry Wells of Delton, Rick (Marcia) Wells of Plainwell, Christine Branch of Martin, Linda (Steve) Earl of St. Marys, OH, Connie Stanley of Plainwell and Deborah Wells of Plainwell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; his siblings, David, Albert, Don, Carroll, Joyce, Ben, Linda and Sharon; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his sons, Dale Eugene Wells Jr., Gordon LeRoy Wells, Thomas Allan Wells; a grandson Skyler Lane Branch; siblings, Margie, Doris, Donna, Kay and Hazel. Services were held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego Pastor Mike Risner officiated. Burial followed at Oakhill Cemetery with Military Honors by VFW Post 3030. AGE 76 – MARTIN Charlotte died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born February 25, 1937 in Plainwell, Michigan, the daughter of Cornelius and Frances Cowels. Charlotte worked for fifteen years at the ACRDC Headstart. She is survived by her husband Billy; her children: Debbie (Ed) Clark, Danny (Dianne) Harris, Jimmy (Sandra) Harris, Michael (Kathy) Harris; her ten grandchildren; her twenty greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild; her brother John (Jan) Cowels; and her sister Dorothy Gregory. Charlotte is preceded in death by her son Mark; her brothers: Chuck, Bob, Dale, Larry; and her sisters: Mary Lou and Doris. Dale BUSKIRK AGE 80 – MARTIN
Dale passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Dale was born January 29, 1933 in Hopkinsburg to Howard and Alma (Belton) Buskirk, the youngest of 13 children. Dale had been employed with Michigan Bell Telephone, First Tel Communications, and Hidden Valley. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict; was a member of the Martin Lions Club, Past District Governor and on the Board of Directors of Leader Dogs for the Blind. On October 19, 1956 in Otsego he was married to Shirley Curry who survives. Also surviving are his children Randy (Patricia) Buskirk, Michael (Linda) Buskirk and Lisa (Mark) Brooks; 9 grandchildren, Brandi, Michelle, Jessica, Justin, Wesley, Travis, Megan, Tiffany and Gunner; 7 great grandchildren, Karlee, Karson, Kamryn, London, Hunter, Bentley and Grant; 4 extended grandchildren, Kyra, Ben, Jennifer and Stacy, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and 12 siblings. Funeral services were held Monday, July 8th at Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, with Pastor Jason Thiel officiating. Burial followed at South Martin Cemetery with Military Honors by VFW Post 3030. In lieu of flowers memorial donations for Dale may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind of Rochester Hills. As I was jogging in the neighborhood recently, a man (unknown to me) called out to me as I ran past his house, “Looking good man.” I responded by saying “God is good.” He replied “You got that right, man!” Many live with the false assumption that if they lead a good life, that will be good enough to get them into heaven. If personal salvation is based on human goodness, why did Jesus die on the cross? In the story of the Rich Young Ruler, a young man asks, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?" Jesus answered: “Why do you ask me what is good? There is only One who is good. If you want to enter eternal life, obey the commandments.” (Matthew l9:l6, l7). The irony in the story is the man who thought he was good walked away from true goodness. What, then, is goodness? • Not talking a good game, but living in His name (Matthew 5:16). • Not what we do, but why we do it (Matthew 6:1). • Not what we have done, but what He has done (John 3:l6). • Not by works, but by grace (Ephesians 2:8, 9). • Not by what we are on the outside, but who we are on the inside (Matthew 23:25). • Not who we are, but Whose we are (John l: 12). • Not what we have, but Who has us (Colossians l: 27). God is good all the time. All the time God is good. Can I hear an amen? Prayer: More of You, God, more of You in my life, I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
