Winner of West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to work for is seeking the right individual to join this fast paced, high volume auto dealership in Plainwell MI as an Auto Detail shop team lead.

The Team Leader role will be a working leader and should have a proven track record of leading a team to reach its goal. A successful candidate in this positon will have excellent communication skills to provide training and daily direction to the team. As a Team Leader you will manage the flow of day to day operations ensuring deadlines are met. Candidates must be outgoing and people friendly, motivated and able to multi-task, as well as able to work with a deadline. As a working detailer you must be extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing the automobile, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level of detail. This position also ensures that all vehicles are prepped for delivery, clean and on time while adhering to the department delivery schedule. The Detailer will also cautiously move cars on the property organizing them in a presentable manner. This will be a full time position working the following schedule with additional hours as needed to exceed customer expectations: Monday: 9am-8pm, Tuesday/Wednesday: 11am-8pm, Thursday: off, Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday: 9am-4pm

Successful candidates must have a valid MI Driver’s license; ADP experience a plus. Must be able to pass pre-employment inquiries including criminal background and MVR as well as a drug test. Those interested may contact Dan Bernard at 269-685-5800 to set up an interview.

AGE 79 – OTSEGO, MI

Darl passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home in Otsego. He was born October 9, 1936 in Otsego the son of Fred and Florence (Bailey) Buzzell. Darl had worked at Mac Sim Bar Paper Mill and then at Hammond Machinery and Roto Finish for over 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Darl was always working and enjoyed painting cars, woodworking, especially making rocking horses and had been a member of the Otsego Elks Lodge. On September 23, 1955 in Otsego he married Bonnie Shook who passed away in 2009. Surviving are his children, Vickie (Jeff O’Brien) McVay of Kalamazoo and Scott (Amy) Buzzell of Otsego; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Bourner and Breanne (Cody) Boeve; 1 great-granddaughter, Emsley Boeve; brother, Ron (Audrey) Buzzell of Allegan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Lois Coffey. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time. Burial of ashes will take place at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego. Contributions in memory of Darl may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan. The story of the Bible is the story of God at work. The Bible begins with creation (Genesis 2:2) and ends with God’s new creation (Revelation 21). From the very beginning God appointed us as managers (stewards) of His creation (Genesis 1:28-30). One of the earliest commands of God was a labor command (Genesis 2:15). Unfortunately, Adam and Eve disobeyed God (Fall of Man- Genesis 3) with the result that work became a curse (Genesis 3:17-19). With the coming of Jesus there came a new understanding of work. Jesus came not only to save us but to redeem work. Jesus blessed work by calling a group of laboring men to follow Him. Thus, work became a blessing. Jesus, Himself, was trained as a carpenter. At a very young age He recognized His mission was to be about His Father’s business (Luke 2:49). He announced “My work is to work the works of Him who sent me …” (John 9:4) and on the cross He could say He had finished the work God gave Him to do (John l9:30). Thus, we see God in human form very much involved in labor. What about our labor? Our calling as believers is to not only to work for God but to work with God (I Corinthians 3:9). When we work with God, all work is sacred. As co-laborers with God we can do great things. Rick Warren said, “Work becomes worship when you dedicate it to God and perform it with an awareness of his presence.” So, why not bring glory to God through our work?
