AGE 83 OTSEGO, MI Ron passed away Sat urday, August 27, 2022, at the Wings Home in Allegan He was born March 22, 1939, the son of Gerald and Mar guerite (Sullivan) Cade Ron was a 1958 Plain well High School grad uate He had been a truck driver, delivered campers and was a Plumber with the Local Union in Kalamazoo, retiring from Stafford Smith in 1995 Ron served as township supervisor and trustee for Otsego Township, vice pres ident of Local 357 and as a Cub Scout leader He was a member of the 2 Cylinder Club of Buckley, the Plain well Pilots Association and life member of the Otsego Elks In his free time Ron enjoyed restoring tractors with his grandkids, working on models, snowmobiling and deer hunting Ron loved his family and was known for fighting with his brother for cheesecake On June 27, 1970 at the First Congregational Church of Otsego, he married Darlene “Sue” (Sherwood) Nelson who sur vives Also surviving are his children, Randy Cade and Mitch Cade; step sons, Doug Nelson, Larry Nelson and Vern (Lisa) Nelson; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchil dren; brother, Larry (Jackie) Cade along with several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; step son, Steven and brothers, James and Dale According to his wishes cremation has taken place A Memorial service was held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Winkel Funeral Home in Otsego, with Pastor Greg Carlson officiating Contributions in memory of Ron may be made to Wings Home of Allegan Arrangements by Winkel Funeral Home Otsego Messages of condolence may be posted at www WinkelFuneralHome com

PHILMON AGE 89 & 90 OTSEGO, MI Dale passed on June 25, 2020, and Elizabeth (Betty) passed on June 27, 2022 Both resided in Otsego, Michigan for more than 65 years They were married on December 23, 1950, in Kalamazoo, Michigan Dad was the only child of Rancy and Bertha Philmon and was born in Battle Creek, MI Betty was the mid dle child of Justin and Mary Simpson and was born in Kalamazoo, MI Dale was a graduate of Delton High School, in 1950 Betty was a graduate of Richland High School in 1950 Dale loved to share his adventures as an over the road truck driver which for many years were with the Otsego Creamery Dale was also a vol unteer firefighter for the Otsego Fire Department as an engineer for more than 20 years Betty loved making Dale happy and making a wonderful home for their five children She also enjoyed teaching sewing and knit ting for the 4 H group in Otsego Betty was also known as the lunch lady for the Otsego School System until she retired in 1996 She also taught her children to be humble servants of the Lord and volunteered to make dumplings and help with the spaghetti supper in the fall at the Otsego Methodist Church Dale and Betty loved to travel and camp with their children After they retired, they traveled everywhere, Arkansas, Texas, Alaska, to name a few, and many other places in be tween They especially enjoyed visiting all their grand children and great grandchildren Dale was preceded in death by his parents Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and brother in law They leave behind their children: MaryAnn (Phil) Stratton, Russell (Donna) Philmon, Linda (Greg) Powell, Dottie (Carl) Flickinger, and Edie Burklow Grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeff (Heather), Joe (Kat) White, Kym, Russell Stratton Stephanie (Neil) Feltenberger, Tanya (Tim) Marsh, Rod ney (Renee) Philmon Brittany, Dustin Powell Mike (Jessica), April, Andy Flickinger Derrick Burklow and 20 great grandchildren

Alice is just about a year old and is a ver y active pup She gets along with other dogs and is cur rently in a foster home Here is what her foster m om has to say about her : “Alice likes pretty much all toys and loves to play fetch, even retur n ing the item to you She also loves to be chased when she has a toy, too! Alice is super fast and she can jump ver y high She loves to jump off the back steps into the yard Alice loves to play with Franklin, one of her foster siblings and after she plays hard for 20 30 minutes she will settle down and chew on nyla bone or take a nap She also enjoys water splashing and hanging out in the doggie pool Alice is food motivated and even en joys her fruits and veggies Besides the usual dog goodies, she likes cucumbers, bananas and blue berr ies Alice does well in the house and she is about 95% potty trained At night she sleeps in the crate and it takes her about 5 10 minutes to settle in, but then she sleeps through the night " Alice is a little ner vous meeting new people, but does well with a slow introduction She would do best with a home that has older kids She is ver y snuggly and enjoys being loved up, her fur is so soft Alice is up to date on vaccines, spayed and Alice,
