Christina Wagnon completed the 10-week Medical Assistant – Phlebotomist program offered at Spokane Community College in Fall 2016 and shortly after obtained employment working as an MA-Phlebotomist at the Rockwood Cheney clinic. “I started the program in September, graduated in November, and had the job I wanted in March!” said Wagnon. In less than six months, Wagnon received the training she needed to prepare her for entering the workforce: “I could've had a different job sooner but I chose to wait and that's why it took as long as it did. I would definitely recommend this program!” The Center for Workforce & Continuing Education (CWCE) helped Wagnon achieve her goal of becoming a professional Phlebotomist: “I have always been interested in phlebotomy. Introduction to Tree Climbing
A 32-hour introduction to tree climbing using rope and saddle. This type of climbing is used by arborists for inspection, pruning, repair and sometimes tree removal. No prior climbing experience is required. Students must furnish their own carabiner (instructor will advise on specifications), eye protection and gloves. Withdrawals and refunds
Class Cancellations
If you register for a class and cannot attend, please call in advance to cancel. This makes it possible for another student to enroll. Students are responsible for initiating the paperwork for withdrawal and refund requests. A $7 processing fee is deducted from the refund amount. All refunds require at least two weeks for processing. The following policies apply whether a student attends class or not.
All class offerings are subject to change. Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) cannot guarantee class offerings, designated times or specific instructor. CCS reserves the right to cancel any continuing education class and may reduce class hours or cancel classes due to low enrollment. Fees for classes cancelled by CCS will be refunded automatically. Some class enrollments are limited due to space and equipment.

Disability Support Services
• Student-initiated withdrawals must occur three business days prior to the first day of class (including online classes) and are subject to the $7 processing fee.
