David Muñoz Received SNI Emeritus Researcher Award
The School of Engineering and Sciences Professor is the First Emeritus SNI at Tecnológico de Monterrey
Prof. Muñoz was awarded by Conacyt committee due to his work as a researcher. He mentions that he’s been fortunate in his career, by having the best coworkers and teaching the best students. Nanophotonics and Metamaterials Research Initiative Professor de Leon’s Initiative is to Form a Research Intensive Team
The Nanophotonics and Metamaterials initiative will be part of the Devices and Sensors research group. Undergraduate students with a physics and electromagnetism background and graduate students are welcome to join the team. This effort is part of the nanotechnology vision at Tecnológico de Monterrey, so they are looking to do in-house research and in a future have specialized laboratories. Interested? EIC Alumnus Recognized for His Research Vinicio Serment Will Received an Award at the IFTPS Charles StumboStudent Paper Competition
The Institute for Thermal Processing Specialists (IFTPS) ceremony will be held in San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of this event is to recognized the high level of scientific productivity. As a PhD student, Prof. Serment published five scientific papers and two book chapters. Nowadays, the School of Engineering and Sciences alumnus holds a postdoctoral position at Oregon State University, where he works with Star Professor, Antonio Torres.
