Researcher Offers Specialized Seminar at Brigham Young University
Sergio Serna was invited by the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science of BYU
CIDPRO director and EIC researcher, Sergio Serna, offered a seminar for scholars and specialists in Brigham Young University. His talk“Germination and Fermentation as Tools to Produce Selenium Enriched Foods—and Their Positive Health Implications,” was highly promoted in the university websites. The seminar was held in the Eyring Science Center, part of their facilities in Provo, Utah.

Decision Center for the Effective Water Management Building Works Begin
Tony Ambler, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing at USC gives a talk during an executive breakfast The talk “A North America Prospective. How does an engineer become a transformational leader” by Tony Ambler was the first effort to make known the Master in Engineering Management (MEM). The breakfast session was held in Monterrey Campus and Guadalajara Campus. The audience listen attentively when Ambler explained that MEM students will take non technical courses and can develop projects to solve current work issues. He also enlisted the admission requirements. The most important thing, he said is that “what you learn today in class, can be used tomorrow.”
The construction is being sponsored by Tecnológico de Monterrey, Fundación FEMSA, and Inter-American Development Bank The Decision Center, affiliated to the Water Center, will include a decision theater: a room with a semicircular screen and a high definition laser projection system. This facility will enable collaboration between specialists, decision takers, and scholars on water, energy, and natural resources issues. The Decision Center aims to develop scenarios based on physical and socioeconomic models.
