Researcher Organizes Workshops that Encourage Scientific Production

EIC Participates in the International Presidential Forum of Global Research Universities

Samira Hosseini shares her know-how on paper publications “There were so many attendees in the second workshop that we had to change venue” said Samira Hosseini, postdoc researcher. The workshop “How to get your paper published” was a success in its four dates thanks to the large, enthusiastic audience. The purpose of the event was to develop the researchers’ potential. “I learn the process and the best practices of publishing papers through experience. Now I can share what I learn with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professors, so they can have better chances to publish,” concluded Hosseini. The forum’s 7th edition focused on academia social responsibilities and strategic global partnership Manuel Zertuche, Dean of the School of Engineering and Sciences, participated in the International Presidential Forum of Global Research Universities (IPFGRU). The event was held on April 11-13 in KAIST University, located in Seoul, Korea. The IPFGRU is an educational platform organized and hosted by KAIST, serves as an educational platform that brings together leading university presidents and deans to share best practices taking place in academia, industry, and government. Professors and Students Enjoy Integration Event

Participants interact while playing a board game that encourages teamwork This event encourages the integration with program directors and graduate students is taking place every month in Monterrey Campus. The first two sessions where a success with the participation of 30 students and professors. The game, Sequence, allows participants to use mathematics and build strategies to win over their opponents. “We are going to keep organizing this event on a monthly basis, because activities like this encourage the interaction between professors and classmates,” said Ruben Morales, Associate Director of Research and Graduate Studies of the North Zone and organizer of this event.
