“Rómulo Garza” 2015 Awards
Inside the Research Congress, Xignux and Tecnologico de Monterrey awarded researchers.
The INSIGNIA 2015 Award for his performance as a Research Professor at Tecnologico de Monterrey was for Prof. Marco Rito, Research Award “Rómulo Garza” for the amount of quotes in scientific journals for Prof. Salvador Venegas, and Research Award “Rómulo Garza” for published Book/eBook titled “Antennas and Propagation for Wireless Communication Systems” for Prof. Alejandro Aragon. Initiatives for Improving the Health, Education, and the Development of the Country. Robotics for physical incapacity by Prof. Rodriguez with exoskeleton to improve the quality of life, the nanotechnology project by Prof. Elias is focused on the development of devices for early detection of diabetes type 2, and others. Dr. Garcia project MasAgro was born because a majority of Mexicans live in monetary and food poverty. Nanotecnology Panel: Its Impact on Business, Education, Ethics, Medicine, and Society
With the Participation of Prof. Marc Madou, Star Professor, Prof. Joaquin Oseguera, EIC Professor, and Prof. Hanging Li, MIT Scientist . The panelists talked about researching in nanotechnology and using this area for the development of products. This is an opportunity for Mexico to expand its vision towards manufacturing. The Innovation Stimuli Program (PEI) from Conacyt funds projects every year. At the School we have eleven different projects being financed by the program.
