Google Joins Efforts with EIC for Research Project That Google selected us to develop

“state-of-art applications is a good start for collaborations ”

EIC researchers is working with Google through a pilot program called Google IoT Tech Award. In the “Internet of Things (IoT) Technology Research Award program" section. This research award is given to people interested in the technological progress and knowledge. To apply, the researchers sent a project description to Google. Also, they sent a monthly report to the company's office. The researchers used Eddystones Beacons, devices developed by Google. He is working along with other researchers and students of the "Delfín" program. Homero Hernández Barrera, student of the The project purpose is to develop a new application Master of Sciences in

Researcher from Germany Lectures EIC courses I like Dr. Gorecky class because he talks about

new and different things. He is an expert in Industry 4.0 which is a trending concept

"This is my fifth time at Tecnológico de Monterrey University. This summer I'm teaching a graduate class and conducting a project-based course." said Dominic Gorecky. The course "Automation in Manufacturing Systems: Digital Factory" is lectured by the German Professor. The main approach of the Digital Factory is to enhance the production processes using technology. That’s why the tools and methodologies use seamless data for tasks. The students are from the Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems (MSM) and the Master in Automotive Engineering (MIR)."The Digital Factory can decrease the need for prototyping" Dominic Gorecky from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence with his students. concluded Gorecky. "If we produce in a Digital Factory it will take less time than conventional methods." More information: http://goo.gl/VDKiu1

Collaboration Between EIC and UANL Biotechnology Faculty is Strengthen

The workshop “How to get your paper published” by We can work together in many Samira Hosseini was a great success between topics like biosensors, nanoparticles, researchers and students of Tecnológico de Monterrey. and much more Due to this, the second workshop edition was held at the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL). Aida Rodriguez, Biotechnology Faculty researcher was the host of the five-week workshop. Over 40 attendees, professors, researchers, and students, reunited at the Biotechnology Institute’s auditorium. Besides the workshop content, short-presentations were delivered by researchers of both universities. Roberto Gallo, Sensors and Devices researcher presented the research lines and interests of the research group. He mentioned the main projects such as “Lab-on-a-chip” and “CD-Based Microfluidic Devices.” Martha Guerrero from UANL presented different methods of Enzyme preparation, while Nora Samira Hosseini workshop has open the Elizondo and her research group are looking for new doors for new research collaboration between institutions. pathways for more efficient and green technologies for fabrication of nanoparticles.

EIC Professor Honored with Institute of Food Technologists Recognition

Jorge Welti Chanes received the recognition during the IFT16 event.

This represents an important recognition by my American colleagues

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) recognizes outstanding Food Science and Technology professionals. Jorge Welti Chanes is the second Mexican that receives the recognition since the creation of IFT, 60 years ago. The ceremony was held in Chicago during IFT16, the organization’s annual event. The IFT members nominate their colleagues for this recognition. The nominees must have an extraordinary progress in the Food Science and Technology area. As well as contributions to the creation of new products. The award focuses on the improvement of life quality through Food Science and Technology. More information: http://goo.gl/Dblfbr.
