> After their success on Broadway, Mayumaná returns with a tour of Spain, making a stop in Mallorca, to present “Momentum 2.0”, an amazing performance that combines the famous dance, rhythm and choreography of the company with technology and interactivity. The result is a show with a 2-way dialogue between the stage and audience with a multitude of elements such as rhythm surprises, special effects, using water as an instrument, a video DJ, and more... all perfectly integrated to create an amazing show!

> This new group from California, despite only having formed just 2 years ago, has gained public recognition by opening for the bands Battle and Franz Ferdinand, and for their experienced musicians which include former members of such bands as the renowned Breeders, The Mars Volta and former collaborators of the Beastie Boys and Blue Bird. With a somewhat peculiar formation – two drummers, two bass players, guitars, trumpet and synthesizers… they promise a powerful live show. On their visit to Mallorca they will present their album “No Where is Now Here” after a performance by the Mallorcan band Platovaío. > Este nuevo grupo californiano, a pesar de haberse fundado hace apenas 2 años, está formado por músicos experimentados y ex miembros de otras bandas de renombre como The Breeders, The Mars Volta o colaboradores de los Beastie Boys o Blue Bird y se ha ganado el reconocimiento del público tras haber teloneado a Battles y Franz Ferdinand. Con una formación un tanto peculiar -dos baterías, dos bajos, guitarras, trompeta, sintetizadores…-, prometen un directo potente y espectacular. En su paso por Mallorca, presentarán el disco “No Where Is Now Here” después de la actuación de los mallorquines Platovacío.

> Every Thursday El Templo becomes a stage for the best comedians of Spain. In November stop by and visit the venue on Paseo Marítimo where one of the finalists from the last edition of The King of Comedy, Manolo Doña (03.11) will bring his characteristic Andalusian humour from Malaga and Danny Boy (17.11) a young Galician collaborator of the famous television program, Paramount Comedy.

> Mala-bar is a bar somewhere with 4 strangers: a bartender, a musician, a French tourist and a famous circus performer. To keep the musician from singing his terrible songs, the others plot a series of circus acts to entertain the audience, who, in turn, assist in the show. We see juggling, contortion, acrobatics, balancing, magic... all with live music, a large dose of humour and “voluntary” audience involvement.

> Como cada jueves, el Templo se convierte en escenario para los mejores cómicos de España. En noviembre visitarán el local del Paseo Marítimo uno de los finalistas de la pasada edición de El Rey de la Comedia, Manolo Doña (03.11) que traerá desde Málaga su característico humor andaluz y Danny Boy (17.11) un joven gallego colaborador del famoso programa de televisión de pago Paramount Comedy.

> Mala-bar es un bar cualquiera en el que se encuentran 4 desconocidos: el camarero, un músico, un turista francés y una famosísima artista de circo. Para evitar que el músico cante sus terribles canciones, los demás maquinarán toda una serie de números de circo para entretener al público asistente que, a la vez, colaborará en el espectáculo. Podremos ver malabares, contorsionismo, acrobacias, equilibrios, magia...todo esto con música en directo, altas dosis de humor i la intervención “voluntaria” del público.

A fun story full of action and emotion that also teaches us a lesson on the most important values of life.

> The Palma Comedy Festival has labelled this show as the “Ultrashow” – a show by Miguel Noguera that he has been performing for 7 years, but never once has the show been the same. Everything is improvised and unrehearsed; he starts only with a list of ideas – ideas that are not necessarily funny on their own, but become so when explained in a vehement, soft or colloquial tone. A flow of imagination and ingenuity that will not leave the audience indifferent.

The ensemble is led by the distinct trumpeting sounds of Guajiro Mirabal, lute virtuoso Barbarito Torres and trombonist and musical director Jesús “Aguaje” Ramos, accompanied by a new generation of Cuban musicians. They will be accompanied on stage by the rich, dynamic and sensual sound of singer Omar Portuondo, an original member of Buena Vista Social Club. The group has won worldwide fame thanks to their exuberance, freshness and energy. A memorable night as the Caribbean hurricane sweeps through the audience with a rhythm of funk, jazz, bolero, samba, son and cha-cha. > Una vez más el fenómeno conocido como la Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club hace su aparición en Mallorca. > After the dissolution of the legendary Spanish 90’s band Los Piratas in 2004, the lead Singer, Ivan Ferreiro, continued with his solo career and today has established himself as one of the key figures in the Spanish indie-pop scene. During November he will present his fourth album “Confesiones de un artista de mierda” (Confessions of a shit artist) at Sala Assaig. The album was released this past October and recaps the high points of his career with a double CD that features both his solo hits and those from his time with Los Piratas.

A night of homage to the world’s most popular instrument.

> Andreu Buenafuente and his friends jump from the television studio to the stage for their second tour of Terrat Pack, presented in the Trui Theatre of Palma. He will be accompanied by his colleagues José Corbacho, Berto Romero and Ana Morgade (to replace Follonero on this tour), all widely known having brought a smile to millions across Spain each night before bed with their long running late night program “Buenafuente”.

> The film premiere of The Wizard of Oz that launched Judy Garland as a worldwide star and the song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” as a timeless cultural icon took place in August of 1939. Coinciding with the 70th anniversary of this magical show, a musical children’s production takes the stage. 5 new songs added to those of the original movie, entertaining and funny dialogue, live magic tricks and original scenery help create the adaptation that pays tribute to the wonderful story and create “a show for children who believe in magic and adults who believe in children.”

> Andreu Buenafuente y sus amigos saltarán de los platós de televisión a los escenarios de teatro en esta segunda gira del Terrat Pack cuya función de estreno será en el Trui Teatre de Palma.

A great opportunity to remember this epic adventure story converted to a multidisciplinary musical that includes live music, jazz and flamenco dance, acrobatics and sword fights. All this in the hands of 15 actors, dancers, singers and acrobats.

Jo MacKenzie was born in the UK and grew up in the beautiful Peak National Park area in the quiet village of Edale. After attending Lady Manners School in Bakewell she went on to study art in Leeds under John Lenny, who was a great influence for her as she set off on her artistic journey. After art school she worked as an illustrator for MacCan Erickson on a number of large accounts such as Nescafe and Martini, but in time became frustrated with the advertising world. She met her husband Scott in Mallorca and together they embarked on a 6 year sail around the world before settling back in Mallorca, where they started their family and Jo was able to get back to her love of painting. Jo now works from her home in Algaida where she lives with her husband and two daughters. A passionate horse lover, you can often see them as the subject matter in her work.

She loves the Mallorcan way of life, their customs and local markets and finds inspiration in the magnificent colours of the countryside with its rich soil and vibrant flowers. “I like my work to grab you! I always want it to be passionate, full of feeling and colour.� She exhibits regularly on the island, in Kent, UK and in the south of France.

Jo MacKenzie nació en el Reino Unido y creció en un bonito pueblo llamado Edale en la zona del Peak National Park. Después de estudiar en la escuela de Bakewell estudió arte en Leeds bajo la tutela de John Lenny, quien ha sido una gran influencia para ella y un punto de partida para su carrera artística.

Después de la escuela de arte trabajó como ilustradora para MacCan Erickson para una larga lista de clientes como Nescafé y Martini, pero con el tiempo se frustró en el mundo publicitario. Conoció a su marido Scott en Mallorca y juntos se embarcaron en un viaje de 6 años navegando en barco alrededor del mundo antes de asentarse en Mallorca, donde formaron su familia y Jo pudo volver a su pasión: la pintura. Jo ahora trabaja desde su casa en Algaida donde vive con su marido y dos hijas. Apasionada de los caballos, tema que se repite a menudo en su trabajo. Enamorada del estilo de vida mallorquín, sus costumbres y los mercados locales y encuentra la inspiración en los magníficos colores del paisaje con su tierra y flores llamativas. “¡Me gusta que mis obras llamen la atención! Siempre quiero que sea apasionante, lleno de sentimiento y color.” Su trabajo se expone con regularidad en la isla, la ciudad de Kent, en el Reino Unido y el Sur de Francia.

Jaume was born in Pollensa, Mallorca in 1981. From 2005 to 2010 he lived in the area of Raval of Barcelona while studying for his degree in Fine Arts. He won the Balearic Island ArtJove 2010 Award presented by the government. Jaume’s work focuses on process management, with techniques and technologies applied to the production of art work, which you can see in his last two art projects: “Map Overlay” These works are based on the fact that new technologies can be used to overlay geolocaations such as “Pollensa to Barcelona”.

“Cross Reference” Inspired by the hyperlink or link, which allows us, when faced with a source of information, access one source from another. All these connections (collectively) are known as “hypertext”.

The technique used in the later work of Orejuela consists of painting each and every pixel that forms a digital image. In this way, a viewer tries to see an image that can only be understood as much as the human brain digest, because what we have in front of us are thousands of pixels.

Nace en 1981 en Pollença Mallorca. Entre 2005 y 2010 vive en el Raval de Barcelona mientras se licencia en Bellas Artes. Ganador del Premio ArtJove 2010 del Gobierno de Baleares. El trabajo de Jaume se centra en los procesos de gestión y administración de la información y en las técnicas y tecnologías aplicadas a la producción de obras de arte. Prueba de ello son sus dos últimos proyectos artísticos: “Map Overlay” Son obras que parten del hecho de que las nuevas tecnologías permiten utilizar la geolocalización para superponer territorios, por ejemplo “Pollença a Barcelona”.

“Cross References” Inspirada en el hipervínculo o link, que nos permite, encontrándonos ante una fuente de información, acceder a otra desde la primera. Todas estas conexiones (en su conjunto) se las conoce como “Hipertexto”.

La técnica que utiliza Orejuela en sus últimos trabajo consiste en pintar todos y cada uno de los píxeles que forman una imagen si ésta fuera digital. De esta manera intenta hacer ver al espectador que una imagen sólo se entiende como tal en el cerebro humano cuando, en realidad, lo que tenemos en frente es un conjunto de miles y miles de píxeles.
