Helicopter Tours This is not exactly the most environmentally friendly way to experience Iguazu Falls, but you do get a birds eye view of the immense falls. It's definitely something you're not going to see while walking the catwalks. Only the Brazil side offers these types of tours. Argentina doesn't run them because they feel helicopter noise disrupts the native wildlife of the region. When we did our walks, we definitely heard them (especially away from the noise of the falls like on the trail to Salto Arrechea.

Your Iguassu Falls rappelling adventure from Foz do Iguaรงu begins with a short trek through the rainforest to your starting point, a basalt rock wall platform. Here, your instructor will give you a detailed safety briefing about your equipment and the best rappel technique. Then, it's time to descend. Slowly ease your way down the falls on your own, stopping along the way to enjoy spectacular views of the Brazilian side of the falls, the rivers and the forest. The total descent is approximately 180 feet (55 meters) along rock cliffs that overlook the falls.

Perito Moreno

Perito Moreno Glacier, a central formation in the Southern Patagonian Ice Fields and a singular example of the profound beauty of ice. Reaching across an area nearly one hundred square miles, Perito Moreno is one of only three glaciers in all of Patagonia that is still growing, and it’s also uniquely susceptible to dramatic ruptures, as portions of the glacier’s wall drop precipitously into the sea below with an audible crack. You’ll find exploring the area easy and safe, as all the trails are clearly marked and expertly maintained, and you’ll be truly astounded with how close you can get to these immense structures. You’ll hear the gentle sighing and sharp splits as the glacier moves and reacts to the world around it, and you’ll be awe-inspired by the beryl blue waters and romantic glacier caves that fill your vision and offer a truly out-of-this-world experience. You’ll even find the journey back to El Calafate rewarding, as you pass through a stunning landscape brimming with darling and delightful species of exotic wildlife.

From here, mountain guides will escort the group toward the area for crampons. Afterwards, hike toward the glacier from the southern moraine until a spectacular vantage point is reached. This is where the true adventure begins. Explore the glacier from different perspectives and discover blue lagoons, deep and alarming cracks, huge drains and caves. Dimensions become almost unreal as you find yourself inside the core of the Perito Moreno, one of the most fascinating glaciers in the world. Along with expert guides who explain the characteristics of the ice and its surroundings, the inside of the glacier is explored for over 4 hours.
