We are excited to be going on a new adventure to the Thorsby Stockyards for our upcoming sale! With a few new herd bulls working for us in our AI program and walking sires all we have to say is WOW……what a great set of yearling bulls we have on offer. There is lots of power for growth, conformation, great foot structure and milk production. This pen definitely meets our standards. One herd I have always wanted was a herd of Full Fleckvieh cows and I am happy to say this is my second registered herd now. Each sale we will be offering some Full Fleckvieh bulls as we have run Simmental commercial cows for quite a few years and have crossed them with the Gelbvieh bulls. Once we seen the results we didn’t look back! We have also crossed Red Angus and Hereford cows with the Gelbvieh bulls as we found the later to be more versatile in crosses. The hybrid vigor between three-way maternal breeds make an awesome calf when it comes to performance. However, our main commercial cross is Gelbvieh and Simmental. As always you are welcome to come down to the farm prior to the sale day and see our herds or give us a call if you need any further information. We look forward to seeing you on sale day!

All on top of great hoof structure and a stacked pedigree as his mom, 40A raised our high seller last year which went to Dave & Lisa Tachuk (our repeat buyers). I have developed my small Simmeron herd of Full Fleckvieh, Fullblood Simmental cattle using a carefully planned out AI program. Choosing a select number of German AI sires has allowed me to produce reliable, consistent herd bulls that offer strong genetics not related to most others in common production by Canadian breeders. The goal is to breed and feed for longevity of performance that will benefit any cattleman’s program regardless of breed raised. Remember the old saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? we would like to send out a salute to all the past and present buyers and consignors for their support with the sales. We truly appreciate it. This year’s offering is the first time we have used this cross in our breeding program. We are impressed with the Weigh Up genetics to a Bismark, we have on offer 4 bulls from this combination from 1st calf heifers, we got consistent deep, wide, length and hair coat. This bull group are a strong built individuals. Each one has their own contribution to pedigree, but they will perform well in your herds. Some will be for cows and if you have larger framed heifer’s one or two may work for you. We have seen that breeding for too much calving ease and light birth weights can cause problems. We have implemented the philosophy “You have to give up something, to get something.” We are finding that if we breed for what works for us in our program it should work equally as well for you. We are finding if we breed for too light of weights, at the end of the day it could be difficult for these cows to birth anything of size. And we know that at market time it’s about size. If you go with calving ease you could give up performance and equally goes the other way if you want performance calving ease could be out the window. These bulls may look lighter than some you will see in other catalogues at this time of year, we believe in the philosophy of our first sale “fed to grow not show”. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase, the Consignors reserve full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publically or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. DISPUTES In cases of disputes, re-bidding will be opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INFORMATION SUPPLIED The information contained in this catalogue is believed to be true and accurate. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY The proper Registration Recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made. SHIPPING Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Sellers. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. Bulls can be kept at the consignor(s) farms until May 1st at no charge. After May 1st, a charge of $2/ day will apply. Buyer must fully insure their bull if the bull is going back with the consignor. GUARANTEE These are papered, 100% guaranteed breeding bulls according to each breed registry. The bulls are all semen tested by qualified veterinarians. ACCIDENTS Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither

the Sales Management, auctioneer or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property. RIGHT AND OBLIGATIONS The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. It is to be clearly understood that Timberlind Auctions is only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations, neither does Timberlind Auctions assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties, and any legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken, must be between the buyer and seller. The Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Manager.
