PUBLISHER’S LETTER

MOVIE LIFE O

ur lives are like long-running movies with no beginning and no end. We believe we are the guest actors with small parts, but the truth is, without us the movie would have to be canceled. The script is improvisational; we craft new lines for each daily performance. We interact with the audience. Sometimes it’s as if we are witnessing a tragedy that requires listening, and at other times, it’s as if we are in a comedy, requiring a sense of humor. Sometimes the movie gets scary, but that happens when we lose faith in the intent of the movie. We may forget our lines, believe that the movie will end badly, or that someone will steal our lines. This year has felt like a movie full of action and a lot of emotion, and with everyone at the end of this year asking, “When will this end?” I am optimistic about this movie, and I know by taking active action in our lives we can improve the quality of our lives and change this movie’s direction. Here are some suggestions: • Turn off the TV and put down mainstream newspapers. Start watching and reading alternative, uplifting media. • Take care of your health. Start adding more fruits and vegetables, legumes and grains in your diet, exercise and meditation.

[COMMUNITY Q&A]

ASK ALECIA by Alecia Rice

Q: I’m concerned about the holidays approaching and having family over with differing political views. How can we keep from arguing about politics? — The Other Side A: Dear The Other Side,

It’s definitely a sticky time politically. Many of us are consumed with this controversial topic. When we know it’s a hot button topic, staying away from the subject is great for self-care—as well as keeping relationships intact—especially when we’re getting together for a good time. There’s a distinct difference between talking about politics and arguing about them. If your family argues rather than talks, that could get potentially messy fast, ruining your precious time together. For the highest outcome without having to worry about arguments, I would suggest telling them that this will be “family holiday time” only. There will be no political conversations when you invite them, so you can truly enjoy each other.

difficult to actually follow through with our intentions. The topic seems to permeate everything these days. If the topic does come up and you can’t seem to reroute the conversation, you might try playing the game of trying to stay out of “soundbite conversations” which often triggers both sides to disastrous ends. Most of us don’t realize that we talk about politics in soundbites. Attempting to talk about them using personal stories and experiences that explain why we feel the way we do, instead of talking about what we believe, can make the conversations more relevant and personal. Try to stick with or reroute conversations around common ground topics like books, movies, travel, weather, memories, what you’re thankful for, etc. Have some funny or interesting short videos that you can stream to enjoy, laugh at and talk about. You might compile a list of sentence starters that let people spontaneously fill in the blanks which can turn out to be quite funny.

You might even make up and suggest a “code word” that’s used as a signal of interruption. This “code word” should be explained and agreed upon ahead of time. Since the “code word” is created and explained ahead of time, everyone understands what the signal means.

Families typically get together to enjoy one another. With so much discord and strife in the world right now, it’s important to create as much quality family time with forethought as possible. Considering ways to do that ahead of time can be really effective in creating memories for a lovely family gathering.

While it’s easy to say that we won’t talk about politics, somehow, it’s more

Q: My teenage daughter has a cellphone that she paid for, yet we pay for the

monthly service. Lately, she hasn’t been doing what’s expected of her at school or at home, because she’s distracted by her phone. She says that it’s not fair that we told her we will take the phone if she doesn’t shape up. What do you think? — Removing Access A: Dear Removing Access,

When it comes to disciplining youth, I think it’s important that the punishment fit the crime. When it doesn’t, they see it as completely unreasonable, and it’s questionable as to how effective it might be in the long run. With the young people in our lives, it’s important that we find their personal “currency,” the thing that is most important to them, to use as a bargaining chip to motivate them to do what we think is in their best interest, as sometimes the motivation just isn’t there. For most, that would be cellphones, internet access, and access to cars for personal freedom. My suggestion is to try as many other motivators as possible. Since teens feel that their cellphones are their lifeline to everything that’s important to them, removing them fully should be a last resort. If there aren’t other currencies to restrict, limiting their access to them or cutting back services would be best to try first. That said, even though she purchased the phone, she doesn’t yet pay for it fully on her own. Therefore, I feel you have the right to use it as leverage to alter the behavior that’s connected with it. Even if she did pay for it 100% on her own, you still have the right, since she’s still living in your home. As a parent, you have to do what’s best to motivate her for her highest benefit. THE ONENESS OF GIVING AND RECEIVING An Interview with Dr. Linda Howe

by Janae Jean On November 9, 2020, I had the honor of speaking with award-winning author, teacher, speaker and Akashic Studies expert, Dr. Linda Howe. Dr. Howe has written several definitive books on the Akashic Records, including How to Read the Akashic Records: Accessing the Archive of the Soul and Its Journey, Healing Through the Akashic Records: Using the Power of Your Sacred Wounds to Discover Your Soul’s Perfection, and Discover Your Soul’s Path Through the Akashic Records: Taking Your Life From Ordinary to Extraordinary. Additionally, she has created guided practices available in audiobook or eBook format, for those who wish to dive further into their spiritual awakening and transformation. 8

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

Her latest book, Inspired Manifesting Through the Akashic Records: Elevate Your Energy and Ignite Your Dreams will be released January 1, 2021, along with a live, online class, Manifesting Your Soul’s Purposes Through the Akashic Records, beginning on January 20, 2021. Dr. Howe has been working as a spiritual consultant for more than three decades and began working with the Akashic Records in 1994. In 1996, she was certified as an Akashic Records Teacher. Dr. Howe is the originator of the Pathway Prayer Process,© to Access the Heart of the Akashic Records, and founded the Center for Akashic Studies in Chicago in 2001. Since 2010, she has taught a variety of online and in-person courses to students from around the globe. For more information about Dr. Howe’s work, including her classes, books and more, visit www.LindaHowe.com.

The following is just a portion of our conversation. To hear the entire interview and learn more about Linda’s books, work, and spiritual journey, visit www.ConsciousCommunityMagazine.com or subscribe on your favorite podcast provider. Janae: You’ve written several books on the Akashic Records and have another book coming out next year, Inspired Manifesting Through the Akashic Records. What inspired you to write this book now? Was it due to the pandemic or were you planning on writing the book before the pandemic? Linda Howe: I’ve been working on this book for five years. I’ve been working and traveling a lot for a couple of years now. I realized that I could not write a book in an airport or a hotel. Last December I made this prayer to the Universe, “Oh my God, I need a break, so I can get this book done.” I had all this urgency in my heart. Lo and behold! The pandemic hit and all travel ceased. One of the silver linings in the great clouds of COVID for me is to have the time and the space to finish this book. With my first three books, I took the traditional publishing approach through Sounds True and Hay House. With this book, I realized that if I took the traditional approach, it would take a couple of years, and I don’t know that we have that kind of time. So, I’m self-publishing this book so it can be available quickly. We are in times of urgency for good guidance and wisdom. This pandemic has pushed me to do so many things I swore I was never going to do. I was never going to self-publish or do a teacher training online. Now, I have an international teacher training program all online. I have to laugh! Who knew the world was going to change in this way? JJ: You mentioned how the world has changed. Thinking about that and with the holidays coming up, how can we sincerely connect with our loved ones this holiday season even though we may be physically further apart? LH: You know what we’re doing in my house? This year, we are having a virtual Thanksgiving. Everybody’s going to be in their own house and we’re going to put the laptop at the table. We’re going to do a Zoom Thanksgiving. We have to take care of one another and make the connections when we can but not put anyone we love at risk. JJ: That’s a great way to think about it! Staying home is not just about keeping yourself safe, but it’s an act of love. We’re so lucky to have the Internet as an option right now. LH: I’ve been teaching online for a long time. About 12 years ago, we started doing these conference calls. It was a little clumsy, but it worked out. We went from that, and it’s just been one step after another. Technology just keeps on; every time we have a moment of inner awareness, the outer world says, “Well here, try this!”

In the ‘90s, the head of the Astara Foundation likened the Akashic Record to the “cosmic internet.” It is like this superhighway of consciousness, of truth. It’s a vibrational archive of every soul and their journey. The opportunity for secular people to work in the Record consciously, deliberately, responsibly, for our own growth and transformation, is unprecedented in the history of human consciousness. We are in the time of awakening spiritual awareness where each one of us is challenged. We have the opportunity to make this connection in a conscious way and to live from the place of awareness of the truth in the goodness of our own soul. We are the bridge generation. We have a responsibility to ourselves, and to those we love, to learn how to use the spiritual resources that life is giving us. JJ: Speaking of giving, how can we be both generous givers and gracious receivers this holiday season? LH: First comes the giving. If you think about breathing, I exhale, then I have room to inhale. If my lungs are full, there can be pure oxygen, but there’s nowhere for it to go. So, what I want to do is give first. These are simultaneous processes. As I give, there is now room for receiving. Most of the people I work with have a little anxiety about receiving. As we allow ourselves to receive, it’s not just for us. As we receive, we are then in a position to give even more. Understanding the giving and receiving process is really what places us in the circle of life. There are things that I have that you don’t have, and if I give them to you, you have them. Then someone else can give to me. We are interdependent creatures. We’re all responsible for our own giving and receiving. It’s an independent experience, however, through this independent, autonomous experience of giving and receiving, we then find our natural relationship with other people. We give to people who need what we have and want what we have, and we receive from people who have what we want and need. Then we’ve found our harmony with other human beings. One of the great opportunities of our time is to experience our oneness with each other, with ourselves, with one another, and with life. It is by consciously giving and receiving that we are participating in the unity of human consciousness, the unity of the human family. It takes the idea of “oneness,” a very popular spiritual idea, and puts it into action. So, as we’re going into the holidays, we want to be thinking about the fact our giving and our receiving are ways that we can experience our oneness with all of humanity, and the great light that is being birthed at this moment in human development. PUTTING AN END TO REACTIVITY by Jakeb Brock Watch this progression: We have an unconscious thought, which triggers a negative emotion, such as fear, resentment, jealousy, etc., which casts us down into a sense of separateness, which promotes the inclination to fend for ourselves, which puts us on the defensive, which, in turn, puts us on the offensive around others, which makes us aggressive and hurtful towards them. And all of this happens unconsciously in a matter of seconds. Is this an isolated incident? How nice it would be for us if it were. But the fact is that this is the normal waking consciousness for most of us, before we decide to practice mindfulness. It goes on every minute of every day. It is the unconscious response mechanism of reactivity—the proverbial snowball effect of one relatively harmless human activity (thought) rolling downhill and gathering negative energy, until it finally plunges us into the depths of despair. Reactivity is a conditioned reflex we learn as we are growing up. Originally, it was probably a behavior we instinctually embraced to protect and keep ourselves from getting hurt. But 10

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

then, like all unconscious behaviors, it eventually took on a life of its own. Since it is a part of an unconscious progression, we tend to be unaware of what we are doing and simply act it out. If we should happen to become aware in one instance, we feel powerless to ward off future lapses. We give in to these impulses and let them have their way with us. We watch ourselves become aggressive and hurtful, and instead of understanding why, we imagine that this behavior is the culprit we need to change. What we fail to recognize is that our outward behavior is part of an unconscious inner progression. Unless we address the entire progression as needing to change, it will keep happening over and over again. How then do we address the entire progression and successfully put an end to reactivity? First, we must come to see the progression as it happens from beginning to end. This means that we must go to the very source of a particular sequence of reactivity—that being an unconscious thought. If we neglect to do this, we will fail to stop future reactive progressions from getting started. It is a little like pulling out a

weed in your garden. If you neglect to pull it out by the root, a few days later, there it is again. As most seasoned gardeners have learned, it is easier to chop off a weed’s stalk than it is to pull it up by the root. Similarly, it is easier for us to address negative emotions and aggressive behaviors than it is to pull up the root of unconscious thought.

For those of us who have felt enslaved by our own conditioned mind, this is really good news. It means that each of us has the ability to take control of our mind and make it into a vehicle and servant of consciousness, instead of the other way around. If we can get to a thought before it snowballs into behavior, we will soon gain the upper hand.

Unconscious thought is by far the subtlest form of mental activity. It vibrates at a frequency that seems quite harmless, and this makes it difficult for us to accept that it is actually the root cause of our negativity. Emotion and its resulting attitudes and behaviors seem more culpable and are much easier for us to become conscious of. Why? Because in comparison to unconscious thoughts, they are loud and boisterous. While we occupy ourselves with these more prominent manifestations of negativity, thought is able to effectively hide in the background and elude our attention. The trick then is to persistently shine the light of conscious awareness on our thoughts until they become as obvious to us as our emotions and outward behavior.

The mistake we have made in the past has been trying to confront the more substantial elements of our reactive progression. We attempted to alter a fully energized emotional state, instead of going to its more subdued source—an unconscious thought. We struggled, which then compounded matters by making us feel discouraged and defeated. We tried not to feel what we were already strongly feeling, and we failed. Why? Because the energy of an emotion tends to be self-perpetuating. Instead of naturally diminishing, it often increases and gains momentum as it goes until, eventually, it finds a behavioral outlet. Therefore, trying to confront it once it has gotten rolling is usually a losing battle. Worse yet, we may have focused exclusively on trying to change the behavior that our runaway emotion instigated. Since behavior can only be changed after the fact, this tends to evoke other problematic after-the-fact emotions, such as regret, remorse, self-justification and self-chastisement. These after-the-fact emotions fool us by making us believe that all we have to do to change our behavior is to feel sufficiently bad about it. But this is faulty logic, as we find out when that same behavior that we regretted soon rears its ugly head again.

As we do this, we may be in for a shock. Suddenly, it will dawn on us that our thoughts are not as innocuous as we thought they were. We may also ascertain the detrimental impact of conditioning on our mental state. We may begin to recognize that certain thoughts follow a repetitive pattern. They are not new or original. Rather, they are ingrained and grooved like a skip in an old record. We may even wonder why we are still having certain thoughts, since they do not seem to represent who we are now. The moment we discern these characteristics of our thoughts is often the moment that we get serious about practicing mindfulness on a regular basis. To turn up the volume on our thoughts to where they become plainly exposed is no easy task. It requires that we quiet ourselves, concentrate and listen intently. As we persist in this practice, things begin to change. Our conscious awareness not only exposes our thoughts and brings them into the light; it also renders them powerless. Thoughts are not substantial energy forms. They carry no weight and have no power of their own. The only power they wield is that of a prompter. As we have seen from our theoretical progression, the energy they tend to prompt is that of emotion. Only when this prompting is successfully triggered, do we find ourselves dealing with a substantial energy force. If we can shine the light of awareness on a particular thought pattern before it triggers an emotion, then we will stop it dead in its tracks and render it harmless. Prior to their triggering of negative emotions, our unconscious thoughts are not substantial. Even those conditioned thought patterns that we have been rehearsing since childhood can be effectively dislodged from our psyche and made to disappear. The same practice of mindfulness that puts an end to reactivity is also very effective in reversing and disarming old engrained conditioning. All we have to do is shine the light of conscious awareness on what, up until now, has been operating in the dark. The Bible calls this work the “renewing of your mind,” and it assures us that if we can accomplish this, we will soon be “transformed.” (Romans 12:2)

What also stumbles a lot of people is the belief that as we grow spiritually our minds will naturally and effortlessly be healed and renewed. This might be so if it were not for the unconscious and conditioned state of our thought world. But as things are, the vast majority of us will need to do this work. No one else can do it for us—not even a spiritual teacher or guru. Why? Because while others can readily perceive our emotional state and get the gist of our behavior, few indeed can know what is going on in the hidden recesses of our thought world. That is why the practices of mindfulness and meditation are so valuable for our times. The true role of the spiritual master or guru is not to try to do this work for us; it is to teach us and inspire us by his or her example. They are able to do this precisely because they have already done this same work inside of themselves. That is one of the attributes that makes one a master. They are 100% conscious and therefore immune to progressions of reactivity. Their thoughts are never out of their control or beyond their reach, and subsequently, their emotions and behavior never reflect negativity. Meanwhile, their shared humanity gives us the assurance that if one human being can accomplish this, so can every one of us. [FROM THE HEART]

PRAY TO BE WRONG by Alan Cohen

I had a neighbor I saw as a nasty alcoholic. Brenda would regularly sit around the kitchen table with her husband, drink, and complain. I did not find any good in her. Then she and her husband took in a young man to live with them. Mark helped the older couple around the house and stayed with them for years. When Brenda passed away several years later, Mark told me, “Brenda was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She and her husband treated me like a son. I will always remember and love her.” In that moment I realized how skewed was my interpretation of Brenda. I was focusing on one aspect of her
that brought me pain to consider. Mark, on the other hand, had focused on an aspect of Brenda that brought him joy. Each of us was reaping the result of our interpretation. From that moment on I began to think of Brenda as a kind person, which has brought me peace. A Course in Miracles tells us that perception is not a fact, but an interpretation. The world we see is determined by the kind of vision we use to observe it. When we view the world as 12

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

unsafe and threatening, populated by ignorant, evil people, we will find plenty of evidence to prove our assumption. All belief systems are self-validating. If, on the other hand, we view the world as a place of kindness, filled with people willing and able to make life easier for each other, that is the world we will experience. An infinite variety of realities exist simultaneously. The one we live in is the one we focus on. If the reality you are currently living in is not bringing you joy, abundance, connection, and healing, pray to be wrong about the judgments that form the platform of your beliefs. You cannot simultaneously be right about your limits and your possibilities. For one to proliferate, you must release the other. Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters, for...he will hate one and love the other.” You can live in but one belief system at a time. Jesus also said, “Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” Ultimately there are only two belief systems: love and fear. You are either serving love or serving fear. Nothing in between.

On July 9, 2014, a crazed gunman (her uncle), killed the parents

and four siblings of 15-year-old Cassidy Stay, and, after shooting her, left her for dead. Miraculously she survived. At her family’s funeral service she quoted Harry Potter’s mentor Dumbledore: “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” This young woman
made an extraordinary choice about how she would process such a horrendous ordeal. She chose love. On the day I read
the news article about her eulogy I was upset about a credit
card bill. Suddenly my upset felt absolutely trivial. I realized that if Cassidy could choose love in the face of such a terrible experience, I could choose love over far lesser challenges.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling heard about Cassidy’s oration and sent her a personal handwritten letter in purple ink from Dumbledore, a wand, and several autographed books. While these gifts could not undo the tragedy the young woman underwent, they demonstrate our power to soften each other’s pain. “What are we here for but to make life easier for one another?” This holiday season you will have plenty of opportunities to pray to be wrong about what’s wrong, and to be right about what’s working or what could work. You will have many chances to make life easier for yourself and others. You may experience the stress and pressure of shopping for holiday gifts; crowded travel during high season; family upsets, feuds, and dramas; financial fears; and handling end-of-year details. The season of joy, for many people, is not so joyful. This would be a fabulous time
to remember that perception is not a fact, but an interpretation. When faced with fear, anger, or guilt in yourself or another, ask yourself, “Is there another way to look at this that would bring me more ease, relief, or peace?” If there is, pray to be wrong about the way you have been looking at the event so you can see it from a new, more healing perspective. A Course in Miracles asks us, “Would you rather be right, or happy?” The approach of the New Year brings a powerful invitation to let go of the limits that have kept us feeling small during the past year, and replace them with greater possibilities for the New Year. Pray to be wrong about everything that hasn’t worked in your life, so you can be right about everything that could work, and will. Bless the old year for leading you to the new one,
for both the challenges and blessings have lifted you to higher ground. As you consider what hasn’t made you happy, heed the profound advice of Kahlil Gibran: “Knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.” A happy and blessed holiday season and New Year to you and yours. BELIEVE IN MIRACLES by Krissy Winchester Ever since I can remember I have had these dreams that have helped to guide me. When I was young, I awoke from one of these deep dreams saddened with the knowledge that I was going to die sometime in my early 40s. I made a conscious choice in that very moment to live the life I truly desired, and promised myself to always make the best of all I was given. Grateful for each and every day, I was living life to its fullest, thankful for the message. With a blink of an eye 40 was upon me. I began to become unsettled knowing something was coming, but I didn’t know what. That is when the diagnosis came in, and the beginning of the end was upon me. Now I was thrown into a whirlwind of fighting for my life, I just couldn’t let go. I was fighting with all I had. It didn’t feel right. All these years I was content in the knowing I would die young with no regrets, but now I found myself clinging to my life that I so desperately wanted to keep. The fight was exhausting, but I was strong and determined to survive. This carried on for months… procedures, surgery after surgery until my dream came to pass, and I was called home into God’s Arms. I felt an all-encompassing feeling of warmth, serenity and unconditional love. I was so full of joy and contentment and happy to be home. All was right with my soul. I was right where I was supposed to be. The resistance was gone; I was at peace. But, God had another plan for me that I was not aware of—I was to go back; I still had work to do and it wasn’t my time yet. Reluctant to return because of the immense feelings of pure bliss I was experiencing, I did so because of my loved ones that I did not want to leave behind, and with an understanding that I had a purpose to fulfill. I knew I was going to die, but I didn’t know it wasn’t the end of my life, but the start of a whole new life with a divine purpose. You would assume it would be smooth sailing from this point forward, but there were more lessons yet to come. I survived the cancer, but endured physical trauma along the way. My rib cage was dislocated, and that went undiagnosed for almost two years, ultimately causing extensive internal damage. No one, and I mean no one, should have to experience the pain and suffering that I had to go through because of this unforeseen twist of fate. The nights were always the hardest for me, in those dark moments when I laid my suffering body down; there was just the cold hard truth and me. Why is this happening to me? I was a fiercely strong independent woman who never had any boundaries or limitations and was thrust back into a 14

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

new existence filled with limitations, extreme pain and faced with uncertainty. Why did I have to come back? What was the purpose of coming back fragile, suffering, and physically dependent on others? These were the thoughts that haunted me during those dark nights. I learned not to give in to the desperation, but to hold on to the fact that this was not to be my fate but just a part of my story. I never gave up hope that I would be healed, and learned how powerful my thoughts are. During these years of recovery I became very hypersensitive, and my awareness was skyrocketing. My intuition was now navigating my every move. It was in that space of seeking and learning when I began to see the light, and knew the current state of my body was only temporary and just a snapshot in time. The path I was on was all part of my evolution and preparing me for who I was to become. With the will to survive and a team of eastern and western doctors, I continue to progress in my efforts to sustain a quality of life focusing on all of the amazing gifts I have been blessed with along the way. As I have come to understand, I was in the dark night of the soul phase, and I was either going to survive this and thrive or die. The choice was ultimately mine to make. We are all victims of circumstance, and can at times feel as if we are spinning out of control because of all of the unfortunate events that can happen in our lives. But I’m here to tell you that it is not the events you are to focus on, but your sheer will to adapt, overcome and improve is key to all of life’s challenges. Never give up! Believe in your heart that you’re meant to live a life full of passion, purpose, magic and miracles, and you will. Krissy Winchester is a contributing writer to Conscious Community Magazine.

FULL MOON - DECEMBER 31, 2020 Energy for December by Donna Stellhorn Hello everyone, I hope you’re safe and well. The month of December brings a Solar eclipse, two planets changing signs, and an important square. There are quite a few opportunities for you during the month if you’re willing to step a little outside your comfort zone. There are also choices to be made related to the North Node and the South Node, and occasionally taking a step back will help you move forward.

signs within a few days of each other, bringing some brand new energy. The previous sign, Capricorn, represents a traditional and conservative way of doing things. The new energy of Aquarius talks about new, innovative, technology-minded, big ideas. As these new energies unfold, it’s good to learn how to do things related to technology and join with groups that want to make the world a better place.

On November 30, there was a Lunar eclipse at 8° of Gemini bringing lessons about communication. This eclipse brings frustration about being misunderstood. You may find it difficult to get your point across. There’s the challenge that other people may not think the way you do, nor do they always express themselves well. Eclipses bring change, and so you may be changing how you communicate with the special people in your life.

On December 23, Mars in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, bringing a great deal of focused energy to help you get things done. This is a good day to work on challenging projects such as figuring out 401(k) allocations, outlining your dissertation, or building a shopping cart for your website. If a person is not feeling challenged today, there can be anger or frustration. Stay clear of bored people.

On December 14, a Solar eclipse at 23° of Sagittarius brings lessons about beliefs and personal rules. The Solar eclipse sheds some light on how your personal code guides your daily actions and whether that set of rules is really benefiting you. You can start by looking at your overarching belief in the Universe. Do you feel supported, cared for, and protected? If you feel the Universe is watching out for you, your brain will find examples everywhere to confirm this. Success follows quickly. On December 16, Saturn enters Aquarius, and on December 19, Jupiter enters Aquarius. These two major planets change 16

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

On December 29, there is a Full Moon in Cancer, focusing your energy on home, family, and good food. And we’ll talk more about that next month.

Aries Aries native, December shakes up your house of contracts. You may get an employment agreement or sign a sales contract to buy a new house. You may be more spiritual this month, attending services or lighting candles at home. Changes in your income derived from career could be announced this month and

implemented next month. Your confidence and charisma are strong towards the end of the month, helping to bring you a little romance. Also, you receive compliments from a stoic family member.

Taurus December brings changes to your finances and possibly a new stream of income, helping to increase the overall flow. Towards the middle of the month, there are some romance opportunities, especially for Taurus natives looking for love. You may give yourself a fresh look with new clothes and a change of hairstyle. Towards the end of the month, you may have some trouble sleeping, especially if you have been skipping exercise. If you’re considering a new vehicle, the end of the month is a good time to buy.

Gemini Gemini native, December brings changes in your relationship as well as changes in how you see yourself. If you’re looking for love, this is one of the best months for making an intriguing, passionate connection. There are shifts around education, and some Gemini natives may decide to change majors or attend a different school. A passive income or investment opportunity comes to a profitable end, but are you ready to let go? You may receive a gift that is well beyond what you were expecting.

Cancer You’re more intuitive than usual this month and could be visited by interesting dreams. Changes at your job mean you’re taking on more responsibilities. A new position could open up that is worth pursuing. Romance may happen with someone new. If you’re already in a love relationship, there are some things changing in the bedroom that may bring more excitement. A person you admire offers you a genuine compliment. Towards the end of the month, your confidence increases, and so does your productivity.

Leo Friends and acquaintances reach out to you this month from far and wide. You have many admirers. Towards the middle of the month, there’s a lot of activity around children or younger relatives. A pregnancy may be announced in the family. Leo natives looking for love may find a great match. Some Leo natives may celebrate a milestone this month. An education opportunity becomes available for you or one of your kids. Time to refresh your feng shui cures to attract prosperity, or sage the house.

Virgo Changes within your company could bring opportunities for a different role or even a transfer to a different state. You may be considering moving or downsizing, so you have more time and energy for fun. Many Virgo natives will be embracing a new health routine, which brings you much benefit. There may be gains in passive income sources such as stocks or commodities. It’s good to look at your 401(k) or opportunities for investing through your company. You may get a surprise visit from a friend.

Libra Libra native, you have the opportunity to teach or give a lecture. The stage is yours, and you pull it off flawlessly. A new work contract may come through, and there’s still some room for negotiation if you wish. There is lots of activity around children,

and you may be taking care of other people’s kids as well as your own. You and your sweetheart may discuss moving in together or putting a down payment on a house. Career opportunities are coming in slowly, but they are indeed coming in.

Scorpio There are changes happening around investments, and you may want to change brokers or banks. A financial windfall may come your way, and you see opportunities to get more from this source. There are changes at home with possible renovation or repairs. A new workout routine is good, but be careful to stretch first to avoid pulling a muscle. A school project goes well, and you can breeze through tests. Permits and licenses can be acquired or renewed now with greater ease than usual.

Sagittarius There are changes in a significant relationship in your life. You get to decide whether you’re going to move closer or farther apart emotionally or physically. Others are noticing that you have more confidence and charisma this month. You may be tempted to get a new vehicle, a new bike, or you’re finding another way to get around town. A friend brings a risky venture for your approval. See if you can join in without opening your wallet. Low-interest loans or special credit deals manifest this month.

Capricorn Changes at work bring you more hours; your office may be shorthanded. You’re quite intuitive this month, and you may be studying mystical things like the tarot or mediumship. There’s a lot of positive energy around decluttering this month. See what you can donate. A relative from far away reaches out to you. They may be coming for a visit soon. Your relationship may go particularly well this month as your communication with each other improves. An overnight trip could bring some romance.

Aquarius You have a lot of creative energy right now. You might consider taking an online art class or opening your own Etsy store. This is a good month to work on your vision board or list of goals. Weight loss is possible this month. You have more confidence in your ability to manifest. There could be difficulties with a sibling due to a misunderstanding. Remember their sense of humor before telling them a joke. You can gain new habits this month that set you on the path towards health and prosperity.

Pisces For Pisces natives, there’s a lot of energy around the home. You might be considering a move or a major renovation. There are also changes going on at work, and an important person there recognizes your value. A promotion is possible. Some challenges for sleeping could be remedied by listening to nature sounds or darkening the room. An old financial matter is cleared up, or a lawsuit is settled. Fertility energy is strong. There may be a birth announcement in the family, or you’re getting a puppy. Donna Stellhorn is an astrologer, a Feng Shui expert, and the author of 16 books. Her website is www.fengshuiform.com. HOW TO NATURALLY DETOXIFY THE KIDNEYS by Staci Culbreath

Do you often feel tired or fatigued? Do your kidneys hurt after eating certain foods? Do you have skin problems such as eczema, rashes, or acne? Do you have frequent urinary tract infections? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, it is time to start thinking about detoxifying your kidneys. Your kidneys work hard 24/7 to produce important hormones, as well as filter the blood to eliminate toxins, sodium, and excess water from the body. Kidney cleanses have been used throughout history to help keep the kidneys working as they should. When you’re feeling fatigued or moody, it is likely that your kidneys are suffering from toxic buildups, troublesome calcium deposits, and/or kidney stones. Thankfully there are several ways to keep your kidneys healthy and toxin free.

7 REASONS TO TRY A KIDNEY CLEANSE 1. You feel chronically fatigued or more tired than usual. 2. You have skin problems such as acne, rashes, or eczema. 3. You are bloated and have gained weight. 18

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

4. You have suffered from calcium deposits or kidney stones in the past. 5. You feel moody or irritable. 6. You have frequent urinary tract infections. 7. You feel pain in your kidneys after eating certain foods.

WATER, WATER, AND MORE WATER The most important part of detoxifying the kidneys is committing to drinking lots and lots of water. It is recommended that you drink at least 10-12 large glasses of water every day to help flush out accumulated toxins from the kidneys. A good indication that you’ve been drinking enough water is passing clear urine. Fluids in the form of coffee, soda, and sugary drinks are not a substitute for water. However, if you’re craving a little flavor with your water, try adding some fresh lemon juice.

WHAT TO EAT Eating the right foods and staying away from certain foods and drinks are the next part of the kidney detoxification process.

Cranberries are one of the best foods for kidney health. Cranberries contain a nutrient called quinine which converts into hippuric acid inside the liver. Hippuric acid then clears the excess buildup of uric acid in the kidneys. Just one cupful of fresh or dried cranberries is enough to cleanse the kidney every day. You can also drink cranberry juice to help flush out the kidneys. Fruits and vegetables that are rich in potassium are great for cleansing the kidneys. These foods include bananas, kiwis, apricots, prunes, oranges, grapes, grape juice, cantaloupes, potatoes, beans, dark leafy greens, squash, fish, avocados, mushrooms, and yogurt. While potassium-rich foods do help cleanse the kidneys, one must have a balanced intake of these foods. Excessive intake of potassium can lead to a condition known as hyperkalemia. For a healthy adult, it is recommended to consume 4.7 grams of potassium per day.

WHAT NOT TO EAT The only type of food that has been proven to be detrimental to kidney health is high-protein foods, because their digestion produces a high amount of by-product waste in the body called creatinine. Having high creatinine levels is one of the main ways that a doctor can diagnose filtering and elimination problems with the kidneys. Besides staying away from excessive amounts of protein, it is important to stay away from substances such as alcohol, caffeine, and processed foods, because they cause your kidneys to have to work harder than normal.

HERBS AND OILS While water, fruits, and vegetables are the best way to detoxify your kidneys, there are additional things that you can do to optimize the health of your kidneys. Natural medicine practitioners recommend taking dandelion oil tincture because it is rich in potassium, and has a diuretic-like function to clear excess water from the body, thus helping to eliminate toxins from the kidneys. Another excellent natural herbal supplement is uva ursi, which helps to repair inflammation and injury caused to the kidneys as a result of stones, or an infection. Uva ursi contains an anti-microbial known as arbutin, so it is great for treating urinary tract infections. Note: It is generally safe to have this supplement, however a word of caution for patients who are on anti-psychotic drugs like lithium. Uva ursi can interfere with the way the body gets rid of lithium, and this could lead to a high level of lithium in the blood, which can be toxic or fatal. Hence, people with any other co-morbidities must be careful before employing Uva ursi in detoxing their kidneys.

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Always talk to a health professional before trying new diets and natural supplements. Certain medications for blood pressure or diabetes could interfere with the diets or supplements, and cause problems with your kidneys. A YEAR FOR NEW HOLIDAY TRADITIONS by Betsy Bruns A holiday tradition in our family has been to create narrative poems that weave in the events of the year. The following poem from me to you is an ode to creating new holiday traditions on the heels of a transformative year.

Americans started cooking at home more, and that’s not a fable. We continue to do so at levels not seen before And the trend is expected to continue beyond this year, four-score.

One of the ways we transformed in 2020 is that we cooked more. Americans got back into the kitchen and plant-based eating grew over 400%. Will these trends become more traditional? Only time will tell, but here is some food for thought.

While these adjustments have been wildly inconvenient, Changing our habits can take on a new meaning. A more intentional, conscious way of living can emerge, Allowing us to shift from rituals that no longer serve. A time for fresh traditions to be formed That become comfortable, the unexpected “new norm.”

We are drawing a close to a most unbelievable year And the holiday season is finally here! We withstood being told to change how we live, And while we’re in our discomfort zone, Why not change for good? As we were nesting all in our homes, We found ourselves eating differently with less choice and freedoms. When going out to eat was taken off the table, 20

BAKED VEGAN CREAMED SPINACH Makes 4 to 6 Servings In our family, my mom’s “Serbian Spinach” was a traditional holiday dish. It was gooey and full of cottage cheese, egg and Velveeta. It also was full of cholesterol, chemicals and hormones. But to us, it was as festive as the lights on the Christmas tree. This version is much healthier, yet keeps an old tradition alive.

Ingredients 1 package firm tofu Juice of 1 lemon 3 cloves garlic or 3 teaspoons minced 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste 1 teaspoon pepper, or to taste 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour or gluten-free flour ¼ cup nutritional yeast 2 cups chopped onion, approximately 1 large 1 pound frozen spinach, thawed 1 cup cubed or shredded vegan cheese, optional Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut tofu into cubes. Add tofu, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, flour, nutritional yeast to a food processor and blend until creamy. Set aside. In a large skillet, dry sauté onion for four to five minutes. Add water, if needed, one tablespoon at a time to prevent sticking. Add spinach and mix thoroughly. Add the cream sauce and mix again. Adjust seasonings to taste. If desired, mix in the optional vegan cheese at this time. Transfer to a casserole dish and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

Ingredients 1 ½ cups plus 2 tablespoons rolled oats 1/3 cup almond meal (or unsweetened shredded coconut) 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground ginger ¼ teaspoon sea salt 2 cups pitted dates, lightly packed ¼ cup raisins 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract ½ cup coconut butter 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup 2 ½ tablespoons non-dairy milk A couple of pinches of sea salt ½ teaspoon grated lemon zest, optional To make the bars: In a food processor, combine the oats, almond meal, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Pulse a few times to get the oats crumbly. Add the dates, raisins and vanilla and pulse a few times to start to incorporate. Then begin to purée steadily, continuing until the mixture becomes cohesive. It will form a large ball on the blade. Remove the dough and press it evenly into the prepared pan. To prepare the icing: Combine the coconut butter, maple syrup, non-dairy milk and salt and gently warm. You can do this in a bowl set over a hot water bath or in an ovenproof bowl in the oven/toaster oven set to low heat. Be careful not to scorch the coconut butter, just warm it until it softens. Once softened, mix it until smooth and add the lemon zest, if using. Pour the icing over the dough and spread to distribute. Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, and then cut into bars.

NO-BAKE ICED GINGERBREAD BARS* Makes 20 Servings Gingerbread houses and cookies have long been a Christmas tradition. Their popularity grew when the Brothers Grimm published the story of Hansel and Gretel, in which the main characters stumble upon a house made entirely of treats deep in the forest. These treats are not scary in any way, and can ring in notes of tradition in a healthier manner.

COSMIC DAILY WEATHER December 2020 by Bernadette Evans

Overview December brings a Solar Eclipse, the Winter Solstice, as well as Jupiter and Saturn entering the sign of Aquarius and then the Full Moon. Eclipses come in either a pair or as three in a row. The first of this pair of eclipses began on Nov. 30 when there was a Lunar Eclipse in Gemini. You may have let someone or something go. When you release a situation, it’s an invitation to the Universe that you are open to receiving something new to take its place. The pair of eclipses is finished off with the Solar Eclipse on Dec. 14 at 23 degrees of Sagittarius. The Solar Eclipse is a New Moon that’s amplified, it may bring an opportunity for the start of something new and exciting. You could begin studying something, maybe a different philosophy or religion, or you could be dreaming of traveling again and are making plans for a future trip. The day of the Winter Solstice is when we experience the least amount of daylight. It is the longest night of the year, which means we can look forward to the days slowly getting longer again. Life is always about cycles, some starting, some ending, and sometimes, it hurts to let people, jobs or situations go. The Full Moon is Dec. 29 at eight degrees of Capricorn. The focus will be around finding the balance between nurturing yourself and being responsible. It’s about being conscious of how you spend your time. Have a wonderful December. Be kind to yourself and your neighbor. Enjoy the Holidays if you celebrate, and I’ll see you in 2021. The times below are listed in Central Standard Time (CST).

Tuesday, December 1 You may be busy at your job or working on a project. When the Moon inconjuncts Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn, you feel like you’re working hard. You have to put in twice the effort to get everything to line up the way you need it to. Mercury enters the sign of Sagittarius at 1:51 p.m. Moon void all day until 9:33 p.m. when it enters the sign of Cancer.

Wednesday, December 2 When the Moon sextiles Uranus, there’s the possibility of an opportunity coming your way. You may have been actively searching for a new way to bring in income; maybe this is it. Do your due diligence and check to make sure it’s a legitimate opportunity. With the Moon in Cancer, you may find something new, interesting and unique to nurture yourself or spruce up your home. You’re in the mood for adventure, trying out new things and meeting new people.

Thursday, December 3 In the wee hours of the morning, the Moon trined Venus. You may be still feeling the lovely reverberations. These energies are quickly followed up by the Moon squaring Mars, and then trining Neptune. Be cautious of getting involved in any disagreements. You may not be seeing people or situations clearly. Instead of escaping, take the blinders off and examine what’s happening.

Friday, December 4 You may be called on for your expertise in a subject with the Moon-Mercury trine. Teaching and guiding others as you were once taught is how the torch is passed from one generation to another. There’s the potential for getting a lot of work accomplished when you and your coworkers combine your knowledge and skills. It’s quite amazing to witness. Moon VoC at 4:29 a.m. until 6:53 a.m. when it enters the sign of Leo.

Saturday, December 5 Today, Venus trines Neptune and as always there are many potentials before you. Your inner artist may poke its head out and you may use that energy to create something beautiful. Compassion and empathy are heightened, and you feel generous. You want to help others in any way you can. It’s a lovely energy, but there’s also the chance that you may be seeing only what you want to see. I know the view is often prettier that way, but you don’t want to be taken advantage of, better to be clear-eyed. Venus and Neptune’s keywords are fantasy, illusion, imagination, romance and relaxation, see if you can squeeze it all in. Moon VoC at 4:28 p.m.

Sunday, December 6 You may be downloading unusual concepts from the ethers that you may be able to use in the future when Mercury inconjuncts Uranus. They could have far-reaching effects for you and others. Put these ideas in your back pocket for now. As the information zips around the Universe, make sure to ground yourself. All this information is heady and can be a little dizzying too! Moon enters the sign of Virgo at 1:46 p.m.

Monday, December 7 The Moon in Virgo squares the Sun in Sagittarius. I know you may want to skip your chores, but the Virgo Moon says, “No way!” Once you get your work done, then you can go play and not before. Getting your work done will help you breathe a sigh of relief and allow you to enjoy your downtime so much more—whether you choose to socialize with a friend or to do something nice for yourself.

Tuesday, December 8 Having confidence and belief in yourself can propel you towards your goals. When the Moon trines Jupiter and Saturn, you may feel more certain in how you approach work. You also feel more positive in your personal and professional relationships, which could translate into stronger connections. Moon VoC at 4:35 p.m. until 6:01 p.m. when it enters the sign of Libra.

Wednesday, December 9 When the Sun squares Neptune, you might not have a lot of energy to complete projects. It’s okay

to give yourself a break, even if it’s just a half-hour retreat. Take some time to nurture yourself. Do not get discouraged. This energy will pass, and you’ll be able to pick up where you left off. A nice way to use this energy is to connect with your creative or spiritual side. It could get you through the rough patches and restore your faith.

Thursday, December 10 The opportunity to connect with a partner or in other relationships on a deeper level, that’s the beauty of the Venus-Pluto sextile. Sharing your feelings and being vulnerable with each other takes your partnership to the next level. Depth, honesty, being real, being seen just as you are, these are the juicy bits that you’ve longed for. Moon VoC at 6:56 p.m. until 7:59 p.m. when it enters the sign of Scorpio.

Friday, December 11 Energy, confidence and charisma may be through the roof when the Sun trines Mars. Use this energy to finish up jobs, or if you’re all caught up, start something new. You feel confident in your abilities and have enthusiasm to spare! Exercising would be a good outlet for your body and mind as moving the energy is always good. Your sex drive may also be running hot today, you could be feeling amorous and want to get it on with your partner.

Saturday, December 12 The Moon-Venus conjunction asks you what you’re passionate about. Whether it’s a relationship that’s intense and gets your blood flowing, or a job or side-project that excites you, find it and give it your all! The Moon is encouraging you to nurture that part of you that jumps out of bed with passion and purpose. Moon VoC at 7:58 p.m. until 8:39 p.m. when it enters the sign of Sagittarius.

Sunday, December 13 Make sure you’re clear when communicating today. Mercury square Neptune could mean confusion or misunderstandings when speaking with others. Be above board in all your dealings and make sure you’re treated fairly too. A good use of this energy is to tap into your unconscious mind and see what emerges. By combining the unconscious and the conscious parts of your mind, you could create a beautiful piece of art or feel a greater connection with the Universe.

Monday, December 14 New Moon Solar Eclipse at 23 degrees of Sagittarius at 10:17 a.m. What seeds do you want to plant? The Eclipse is like energized plant food. It gives your intention an extra boost to get it started. The focus could be on studying a particular subject; maybe you’d like to travel in the future. Investigate the different parts of the world that interest you, so when travel becomes easier and safer, you’ll be ready to go. Look inward and discover what would

feed you, what would help you shine your light for all to see. Moon VoC at 10:17 a.m. until 9:35 p.m. when it enters the sign of Capricorn.

Tuesday, December 15 When the Moon trines Uranus, you could feel excited. Your intuition is telling you that a surprise may be right around the corner. You could be pleasantly surprised when you’re noticed at your job. You may be longing for the rush that goes with trying a new sport or doing something out of your comfort zone. When Uranus is involved in the equation, expect the unexpected and have fun with whatever blows in your direction. Venus enters the sign of Sagittarius at 10:21 a.m.

Wednesday, December 16 You could feel like you’re being attacked when the Moon squares Mars. Tempers may flare—even yours. Try to avoid arguments. Breathe and find the middle ground so that both you and the other party are happy with the result—and have all your limbs still attached. Find the balance and your equilibrium in the storm. Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius at 11:04 p.m. Moon VoC at 11:34 p.m.

Thursday, December 17 When the Moon squares Uranus, you could be feeling restless and are chomping at the bit. Be careful of doing something out of feeling bored or the need for excitement. Spend some time reflecting to see what you really want and need. You don’t want to act in haste and then regret your actions later. Moon enters the sign of Aquarius at 12:27 a.m.

Friday, December 18 There are times when you may want to rebel. Sometimes it’s just a knee-jerk reaction, where you automatically resist another person, possibly an authority figure, and their suggestions because you feel they’re telling you what to do and you want to be independent. When the Moon is in Aquarius, there’s the possibility of wanting to assert yourself by saying no. Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face. Check-in with yourself, your heart and see what feels right.

Saturday, December 19 When the Sun conjuncts Mercury, you’re clear and focused and have lots to say. You’re eager to share your ideas with others. Maybe someone won’t agree with you, and that’s okay. Each person has had different experiences that color their perspective. You can still speak up and give others the space to also be heard. Jupiter enters the sign of Aquarius at 7:07 a.m. Moon VoC at 2:45 a.m. until 6:39 a.m. when it enters the sign of Pisces.

the Universe in whatever way you choose, and it will feed your spirit and give you the courage to continue. The Pisces Moon is about intuition and imagination; play and create whatever brings you joy. Mercury enters the sign of Capricorn at 5:07 p.m.

Monday, December 21 Happy Birthday, dear Capricorns! The Sun enters the sign of Capricorn at 4:02 a.m. Here in the northern hemisphere, it’s also the Winter Solstice. Jupiter and Saturn are both in Aquarius now. Jupiter will retrograde back into Capricorn in a few months, but that’s another story for another day. Jupiter is about expansion while Saturn is about contraction. When these two get together, it’s about finding the balance between them that’s right for you. Everyone will experience it differently. For some, it may feel like starting and stopping, as if you were learning to drive a stick shift. For others, you’ll get the hang of it, you’ll intuit when it’s time to grow and when it’s time to slow down or withdraw. Moon VoC at 4:25 a.m. until 4:32 p.m. when it enters the sign of Aries.

Tuesday, December 22 You could be feeling quite generous and in a party mood when the Moon trines Venus. Your focus will be on how you can indulge yourself and those you love. This is usually the time of year for Christmas parties, but that’s probably not going to happen. If you could still get your core group of friends together for a small get together. It will still be a blast! You don’t need a lot of money and stuff to enjoy yourself, surround yourself with good friends instead.

| CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

Wednesday, December 23 There’s the desire to move forward in all areas of life when the Moon conjuncts Mars and they square Pluto. You may feel like there’s a sense of urgency—a need to push forward. You have goals, ambitions, and you want to succeed. Is there a different way to go about doing things? Instead of pushing and forcing your way through everything, can you let it happen more naturally, effortlessly? Emotions and passions can run hot today which could make for a fun time in the bedroom. Outside of that arena, there’s the potential for people to react strongly and maybe negatively. Channel that hot excitable energy into a project, exercise or hobby. Moon VoC at 4:51 p.m.

Thursday, December 24 The Moon’s in Taurus, which is a lovely homey energy for Christmas Eve, and the Moon-Sun trine emphasizes the feel-good nature of the day. During the holidays, it’s about being with the ones you love and treasure. You look forward to spending time with your family. You could also be feeling sad at this time; maybe you lost someone due to the virus or due to other circumstances, or you’re not able to be with them due to the state of the world. Focus on the people who are here with you now, and do something that brings you joy. Moon enters the sign of Taurus at 4:55 a.m.

Friday, December 25 Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! You want to create a beautiful day for your loved ones when the Moon sextiles Neptune. Your intuition could be spot on when thinking about how to make the day special for everyone. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself or others. Remember Neptune is creative and a master of illusion but also likes to wear rosecolored glasses. Just relax and enjoy the day.

Saturday, December 26 The Moon is void for a good part of today in Taurus. This may be just what you need to slow down… do something nourishing for yourself. Maybe read a good book in the tub, give yourself a pedicure, or whatever else feels decadent to you. Treat yourself just as you treat your loved ones. You deserve some pampering and spoiling. Moon VoC at 5:32 a.m. until 5:33 pm. when it enters the sign of Gemini.

Sunday, December 27 The Sun trine Uranus could highlight meeting new people or having a brilliant idea. You’re open to innovative ways of doing things. The tried and true work, but you’re ready for something out of the ordinary, it’s much more exciting! Make sure to keep track of any insights that come to you that may be helpful in the future. Taking a break from the usual routine by going out with a few friends and doing something fun and new that would feel like a breath of fresh air. Who knows what could happen or who

you could meet! The Universe is flashing the “open” sign…are you going to go through it?

Monday, December 28 Communicating and connecting with like-minded people is highlighted when the Moon’s in Gemini. Conversation is an art form. Listen to what others say before jumping in with your response. With the Moon square Neptune, it’s possible that you’re not seeing the whole truth or picture. Someone may be trying to deceive you or maybe you’re the one telling half-truths. Be honest in your discussions and dealings. Moon VoC at 9:01 pm.

Tuesday, December 29 The Full Moon is at eight degrees of Capricorn at 9:28 p.m. The focus could be on how to integrate career and family life, as well as how to be responsible while taking care of yourself. Maybe you’re feeling pressured by your boss or your job but you need to find time for yourself and your family? It’s possible that you’re responsible for a parent and need time off to look after your needs. Full Moons are about situations coming to a head and having to release something. You don’t have to necessarily release your job or a person if you don’t want to, but find a way that works for you. Moon enters the sign of Cancer at 4:28 a.m. Full Moon at 9:28 p.m.

Wednesday, December 30 When Venus squares Neptune, you could feel disillusioned about some of your relationships. It could be time to look at them and yourself. Do these relationships add value to your life? Do you feel better after being with certain individuals or worse? Maybe you’ve always felt a certain way around a specific individual, but you’re only becoming aware of it now. You took off your rosecolored glasses and are now seeing the person or situation and your part in it clearly.

Thursday, December 31 Happy New Year’s Eve! The Moon will move into playful Leo just in time for New Year’s Eve. How wonderful! The Moon opposes Saturn which could be saying, a little restraint is in order. Have fun, but be smart. The Moon opposes Jupiter as well, which may mean overdoing it with food or drink. You could be hopeful, and excited for the New Year. You’re probably happy to see the end of 2020, and who can blame you? It has been a challenging time. Pat yourself on the back for getting through it. Have a wonderful day and evening, and I’ll see you in 2021! Moon VoC at 7:45 am. until 12:58 p.m. when it enters the sign of Leo.

Once these messages (mostly from Archangel Michael) started to come true, she knew she was onto something. What she discovered was that her purpose was to share these divine messages with humanity. This book includes messages she received about the Earth’s ascension and provides hope for those struggling with the current chaotic state of the world. 28
