SHIBORI
A journey back in time to the Nara and Heian periods (710-1185 AD), when the skilled hands of Japanese artisans patiently transformed fabric into canvases of colour and texture through the art of dyeing. With almost ritualistic precision, textile masters tucked, tied, and sewed delicate fibres, preparing the warp to receive natural pigments, such as aziome. Their intricate work gave rise to endless patterns, to create sophisticated kimonos.
Un viaje en el tiempo a los períodos Nara y Heian (710-1185 d.C.), cuando las manos de los artesanos japoneses, con paciencia y destreza, transformaban la tela en lienzos de color y textura a través del arte del tinte. Con precisión casi ritual, los maestros textiles plegaban, ataban y cosían delicadas fibras, preparando la urdimbre para recibir los pigmentos naturales como el aziome. De su labor minuciosa nacían patrones infinitos, que resultaban en sofisticados kimonos.
Shibori is the impression of time imprinted on fabric; the testimony of hands in dialogue with the fabric, creating organic forms that evoke nature itself. Coordonné’s Atelier has endeavoured to develop this unique ancient technique to cover your walls and outdoor fabrics with an abstract and minimalist finish.
Shibori es la huella del tiempo impresa en la tela, el testimonio de manos que dialogan con el tejido, creando formas orgánicas que evocan la naturaleza misma. En el Atelier de Coordonné nos hemos atrevido a desarrollar esta técnica ancestral única para revestir tus paredes y tejidos para exterior con un acabado abstracto y minimalista.
