A LOCAL real estate agent is celebrating a feather in her cap and says it is all thanks to first impressions. Countryside Realty Noosa Sales Consultant and Property Stylist, Carlene George, has been nominated as an REIQ Awards of Excellence 2021 Finalist for Rising Star Salesperson of the Year. Carlene told the Cooroy Rag it is an honour to be nominated as a finalist. “Branching out as a sales agent, I wanted to do my best in this field but I also saw an opportunity where I could take this role one step further. “It is imperative to give excellent service and that is something I know I do well, but it was very quick for me to see there was a point of difference that I could make, to give even better service to my clients.” Carlene provides exclusive in-house styling. “The main point of being a real estate agent is to sell a property for the best possible price so that first impression is crucial.
“I know what buyers are looking for, I know the shots the photographer will take and having a design background to know how to present a property to its full potential, is an ability I have and I didn’t realise until working as an agent that this is something some people do struggle with. “I understand that many people do not know how to present their homes to sell and there is an absolute difference between how it looks when you sell and when you live in it.” Carlene said it is often hard for homeowners to see beyond how their home has always been. “That is where it is good to have fresh eyes come in and give ideas. As a people person, I am very sensitive with my clients. This is their biggest asset, which they love, so I am very aware of making sure the outcome is something they are comfortable with.” With a whole styling studio full of soft furnishings and small furniture pieces, Carlene transforms a
property, to “work with what the property is wanting to be”. “When I go to a property, I am not making it look like the latest trends from the magazines. I maintain its homey feel yet make sure it appeals to numerous types of buyers and of course all the other things which are important, such as making it feel fresh, clean, bright, and spacious.” Carlene said that she understands selling is a stressful time for vendors and loves how her styling can provide them with an extra level of service. “It is important to me that vendors are not faced with a hefty bill for some staging or styling services and I am extremely pleased I can style and present a home as a free service for my clients. “I have seen how this extra service I give to my clients has such a great outcome.” To see a video of what Carlene does as an agent visit: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=C_hqqK0HJs0
