New apartment block causes misery for neighbours
R
esidents of Pueblo Principe have been left devastated by a developer’s decision to build a four storey apartment block at the bottom of some of their gardens. The Villacosta Club development is well underway with no plans being available for residents to view and no consultation period. However, despite this residents are not being unreasonable and neither are they demanding that the work stops. However, they are asking that the builder stick to his original plan of a two storey development. Residents are disputing that a 13.5
metre wall just 5 metres from their homes should have been given planning permission when all of the 154 properties on the urbanisation are 1 and 2 storey only. This back wall to the apartments will instantly block their view, sunlight, privacy when sitting in the garden and according to many residents, renders their properties un-saleable. ‘building fence’ and during the high winds the rubble and earth was not damped down as promised and the dust then caused problems for some residents already suffering from asthma and breathing difficulties. The lack of consideration by builder is evident on the site, where several trees have been fully or partially by the excavated earth and building materials and also dumped on a municipally owned area that is supposed to be a designated green area or park.
